  • Pursuing a Bachelor of Science or Master of Science degree in an Engineering field
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship
Responsibilities
  • Document and present findings from the internship and deliver an end-of-summer presentation to the group about what was achieved
  • Identify and document goals and targets (key performance indicators) as part of projects
  • Evaluate current processes and update documentation to adhere to continuous improvement methodologies (LEAN/ Six Sigma)
  • Create data visualizations to identify potential opportunities for automation using Tableau, Power BI, or Python
  • Collaborate with engineers from other areas and shifts to identify Best Known Methods (BKMs)
  • Participate in projects to improve performance of the fabrication (FAB) area
  • Routinely required to sit; walk; talk; hear; use hands to keyboard, finger, handle, and feel; stoop, kneel, crouch, twist, reach, and stretch
  • Occasionally required to move around the campus
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds
  • May require travel dependent on business needs
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus

Mistral AI raises $1.9B at $13.2B valuation, led by ASML to advance frontier AI research

Mistral AI has raised €1.7 billion in a Series C funding round at an €11.7 billion post-money valuation. The round was led by semiconductor equipment manufacturer ASML Holding, with participation from existing investors including DST Global, Andreessen Horowitz, Bpifrance, General Catalyst, Index Ventures, Lightspeed and NVIDIA. The Paris-based AI company will use the funding to advance its scientific research and develop custom decentralised frontier AI solutions for complex engineering and industrial problems. ASML CEO Christophe Fouquet said the partnership aims to generate benefits for ASML customers through AI-enabled products and solutions. Mistral AI CEO Arthur Mensch stated the investment will help address engineering challenges in the semiconductor and AI value chain whilst maintaining the company's independence.
