Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree is required, or equivalent relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of education.
  • Five to ten years of relevant work experience is required.
  • Three to five years of experience in manufacturing or logistics is required.
Responsibilities
  • Manage day-to-day plant supply chain operations, including inventory control, shipping, receiving, production scheduling, and procurement.
  • Monitor and evaluate the overall performance of the Warehouse Management System.
  • Execute and troubleshoot Warehouse Management System issues by identifying root causes of system failures, escalating issues to appropriate parties, and prioritizing outstanding issues.
  • Serve as a liaison between operations and Supply Chain Management.
  • Assist with process design for Warehouse Management System projects, including testing, validation, and implementation benchmarks.
  • Directly oversee inventory control, shipping, receiving, and warehouse activities for the distribution center.
  • Oversee procurement and scheduling to ensure service metrics and customer demands are met.
  • Identify, manage, and implement continuous improvement projects for inventory accuracy and capacity utilization across raw materials, finished goods, and stock inventory.
  • Manage plant inventory investments, including liquidation of obsolete inventory, monitoring and improving inventory turns, and managing stock levels.
  • Maintain and implement shipping and receiving functions to optimize flow across working and off-site warehouses when applicable.
  • Manage and oversee all master planning data.
  • Manage and oversee purchase requisitions and change requests from customers, plants, and suppliers.
  • Assist the Plant Manager with planning and managing distribution-center operating budgets and expenses, including staffing needs and productivity.
  • Monitor safety metrics, finished-goods inventory days on hand, on-time shipments, average lead time, sales-order dating, schedule attainment, and unplanned downtime.
  • Travel 5%-10% as required.
Desired Qualifications
  • A master's degree is desired.
  • Two to five years of experience in a plastics or fabrication environment is desired.
