Requirements
- A high school diploma or GED is required.
- Current CPR certification is required.
- A clean background check and the ability to pass drug screenings, including marijuana testing, are required.
- A valid driver's license and insurance are required.
- The ability to maintain professional boundaries is required.
Responsibilities
- Greet clients, help them feel comfortable, and assist with their daily clinic needs.
- Observe and document patient behavior, moods, and notable changes, and report them to the licensed clinical team.
- Assist counselors in leading psychoeducational groups and daily therapeutic activities.
- Respond quickly to crisis situations using safe and effective de-escalation techniques.
- Supervise patients to ensure their safety and involvement in treatment.
- Orient new patients to the facility, program, and setting.
- Assist with clerical and administrative assignments supporting patient care, program operations, and organizational operations.
- Accompany and transport patients as assigned.
Desired Qualifications
- At least six months of experience working in a mental health or behavioral health setting is preferred.
- Strong communication skills, empathy, and the ability to set firm yet compassionate boundaries are preferred.
