Equipment Maintenance Technician
About the job
- At least 2 years of experience in a manufacturing equipment maintenance role and basic blueprint-reading ability.
- A technical, vocational, or college degree, or equivalent work experience; mechatronics is ideal.
- Hydraulic and mechanical repair and troubleshooting skills are required; electrical skills are ideal.
- Ability to diagnose machine problems and make sound decisions about solving them.
- Ability to work attentively to company safety and cost requirements.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing situations.
- Reliable and punctual attendance.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate and communicate with others.
- Perform scheduled maintenance on plant equipment and machinery, including repairing or replacing worn or defective parts, motors, and controls as necessary.
- Repair, troubleshoot, and maintain large conventional presses and custom production equipment.
- Maintain pumps, HVAC, presses, tumblers, and sanding equipment.
- Maintain the cooling tower, parts washer, and dryers.
- Troubleshoot hydraulic, electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic issues.
- Respond to equipment stoppages and mechanical breakdowns.
- Ensure proper daily documentation and recording of information, including information about production equipment.
- Take an active part in training and helping others as needed.
- Participate in continuous improvement teams.
- Knowledge of robotic motion controls.
- Knowledge of chillers and air compressors.
