What believers are saying

  • KE&G said August 2026 bidding topped $400 million, supporting 2027 backlog.
  • The company added more than 650 workers and reinvested $6 million into fleet.
  • 2026 safety awards and USA TODAY Top Workplace recognition improve recruiting and retention.

What critics are saying

  • KE&G still depends heavily on Arizona and New Mexico public works bidding.
  • Commercial division expansion in 2026 adds execution risk against established general contractors.
  • If ADOT and municipal award flow slows, backlog could shrink before 2027.
