Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in Business/Marketing, Public Administration, Social Science, or a similar field and at least 3 years of proposal-related experience.
  • Proven research and analytical skills, initiative, flexibility, attention to detail, written and verbal communication skills, technology skills, autonomy, group collaboration, time management, interpersonal skills, and organizational skills.
  • Experience following standardized proposal development processes and procedures and adapting them to specific pursuit delivery needs.
  • Experience using federal, state/local, international, and/or foundation solicitation sites or tools, such as FBO.gov, Grants.gov, client websites, RFPSchoolWatch, FindRFP, GovWin, FoundationSearch, and contract vehicle bid distribution lists.
  • Advanced technology skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Adobe Acrobat Professional, and Microsoft SharePoint.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize work tasks, and manage competing priorities under deadlines.
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously to solve problems effectively.
  • Ability and willingness to occasionally work outside normal business hours when necessary to meet a deadline.
  • A cover letter is required with the resume.
Responsibilities
  • Identify bids that align with the organization's work and mission using internal and external bid identification, procurement sites, and systems.
  • Develop proposal production and delivery plans, schedules, Request for Proposal/Statement of Work compliance matrices, and requirements-driven outlines focused on technical and business volumes.
  • Coordinate with cross-business teams and cost and pricing leads.
  • Coordinate, organize, assign tasks to, and lead the proposal team from kickoff through contract award, including assigning team roles and responsibilities.
  • Take direction from the Proposal Director to supervise day-to-day proposal production activities, including coordinating and scheduling proposal production and associated resources for final production.
  • Determine which items are behind schedule, identify barriers to progress, and plan and implement effective problem-solving and corrective-action plans.
  • Assist the Proposal Director and Proposal Lead with writing section drafts as appropriate.
  • Conduct in-depth reviews and quality control for proposal submissions and ensure proposal content complies with Request for Proposal requirements.
  • Oversee production and submission of the final proposal.
