Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree is required.
  • At least 7 years of experience leading a cross-functional organization and/or developing two-discipline functional excellence.
  • At least 5 years of increasing responsibility leading hourly and salaried professional organizations.
  • At least 5 years of experience growing a business, profit center, cost center, or program management experience.
  • At least 3 years of leadership experience within a machining environment.
  • Demonstrated results in developing talent, organizational strategies, and management systems in a high-revenue-growth environment.
  • Extensive experience in the manufacturing industry and operational functions.
  • Subject-matter expertise in problem solving and decision-making and critical thinking.
  • Extensive communication, change leadership, leadership, and business acumen experience.
  • Working experience in the manufacturing regulatory environment, lean manufacturing, and training.

Responsibilities
  • Lead strategy and execution across manufacturing, engineering, supply chain, and customer fulfillment.
  • Own full P&L responsibility for the site and report to the Vice President of Operations.
  • Champion operational excellence, continuous improvement, and accountability.
  • Build customer relationships, understand customer needs, and grow strategic partnerships.
  • Align cross-functional teams around performance objectives and corporate priorities.
  • Ensure compliance with medical device regulations and internal quality standards.
  • Drive site-level strategy, execution, and financial performance.
  • Lead and develop high-performing teams across direct and matrixed functions.
  • Build and manage production systems, capacity planning, and labor models.
  • Partner with commercial teams to grow customer relationships and business volume.
  • Embed quality, safety, and compliance into operational processes.
  • Establish scalable infrastructure to support future growth and customer needs.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience in medical device manufacturing.
  • Exposure to integrated business planning, quality system deployment, and lean manufacturing in an industrial setting.
  • Experience with best practices in global manufacturing.
  • Master of Business Administration degree.

Tecomet and Orchid merge to create global MedTech and aerospace manufacturing platform

Tecomet and Orchid Orthopedic Solutions have completed their merger, creating a global manufacturing platform serving MedTech and aerospace and defence customers. The combined company will operate under the Tecomet name, with Andreas Weller serving as CEO. The merged entity operates 24 manufacturing locations across multiple countries, offering capabilities including precision machining, additive manufacturing, forging, casting and advanced finishing. The combination aims to provide customers with more comprehensive manufacturing services, expanded design capabilities and a more resilient global supply base.
