About the role
As a Data Product Manager at Smartwyre, you will be responsible for leading the development and execution of our data product strategy. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including architecture, engineering, business insights, marketing, and customer success to drive the strategy, governance, and implementation of anything data-related. This means delivering data platform that enables webapp and insights teams to safely and scaleable access data for enhancing Smartwyre. It also includes identifying and delivering and data capabilities directly to customers. The ideal candidate has a strong background in product management, a deep understanding of data strategy and models and analytics, and a passion for leveraging data to create impactful products. Your Responsibilities
- Product Data Strategy and Roadmap: Define and execute the product vision and strategy for data products, aligning with business goals and customer needs.
- Data Enablement: Collaborate with the Architecture to define business needs for data enablement and drive the delivery of this key part of our platform.
- Market Research and Analysis: Conduct market research to identify customer pain points, market trends, and competitive landscape to inform product development.
- Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and prioritize product requirements, ensuring alignment with business objectives and technical feasibility.
- Product Development: Work closely with engineering and insights team to design, build, and launch data products, ensuring high quality and timely delivery.
- Data Analytics: Leverage data analytics to gain insights into product performance, user behavior, and market trends, and use these insights to drive product decisions.
- Go-to-Market Strategy: Where relevant, work with the Marketing team in development and execution of go-to-market strategies for data products, including pricing, positioning, and promotion.
- Stakeholder Communication: Act as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, providing regular updates on product development, performance, and roadmap.
- Continuous Improvement: Implement processes for continuous improvement, including feedback loops, A/B testing, and iterative product development.
Our Ideal Candidate
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, Business, or a related field.
Proven experience in product management, with a focus on data products or analytics.
Track record: Successful development and delivery of a data enablement strategy for a B2B SaaS business a big plus.
Product data strategy: Proven success in creating and executing a product data strategy.
Technical Skills: Strong understanding of data analytics, artificial intelligence and machine learning, and data visualization tools. Knowledge of Azure and Snowflake important. Proficiency in SQL, Python or similar languages is required.
Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Leadership: Proven ability to lead and co-ordinate cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Customer Focus: Deep empathy and curiosity for customers and a passion for creating products that solve real-world problems.
