Requirements
  • At least 10 years of experience in either property and casualty insurance, including broker, producer, underwriter, account manager, or claims experience with commercial acumen, or enterprise business-to-business software as a service sales involving deals with annual contract values of $100,000 or more.
  • A proven track record of consistently hitting or exceeding quota as a top-20-percent performer.
  • Experience generating pipeline, prospecting cold accounts, and closing new-logo business.
  • Experience selling to vice president and C-level buyers and navigating complex, multi-threaded enterprise sales cycles.
  • Strong business acumen and the ability to build return-on-investment models and articulate value in financial terms.
  • Excellent communication skills with gravitas and executive presence.
  • An entrepreneurial mindset with comfort in ambiguity and a bias for action.
Responsibilities
  • Own the full sales cycle from prospecting to close for deals with annual contract values of $50,000 to more than $250,000.
  • Actively build and manage a pipeline at three to four times quota across brokerages, carriers, managing general agents, third-party administrators, claims organizations, and legal teams.
  • Drive new-logo acquisition focused on mid-market and enterprise accounts with 200 to more than 10,000 employees.
  • Conduct consultative discovery to uncover workflow challenges and build compelling business cases with clear return on investment.
  • Lead product demonstrations tailored to technical and business stakeholders.
  • Navigate multi-stakeholder sales processes involving information technology, Legal, Compliance, Operations, and C-suite buyers.
  • Maintain accurate forecasting in Attio customer relationship management with rigorous pipeline hygiene.
  • Represent Qumis at tier-one industry conferences and regional events.
  • Partner with Product, Marketing, and Customer Success to influence the product roadmap, refine messaging, create case studies, and ensure seamless customer handoffs.
  • Provide market intelligence by synthesizing competitive insights, buyer objections, and emerging trends.
  • Develop sales collateral, including one-pagers, return-on-investment calculators, pitch decks, and competitive battle cards.
  • Document best practices and proven sales motions for future hires.
  • Leverage artificial-intelligence-native tools, including Clay, Apollo, ChatGPT, and Perplexity, to automate prospecting and research at scale.
  • Test and iterate on messaging, outbound sequences, and sales tactics.
  • Stay current on artificial intelligence trends, insurance-industry shifts, and enterprise-selling methodologies.

  • Prior experience at a high-growth startup from seed to Series B or at a top-tier technology company.
  • Familiarity with artificial intelligence and machine learning concepts and the ability to explain technical capabilities to non-technical buyers.

  • Existing relationships within the insurance industry.
