Requirements
  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Five or more years of related work experience in operational management.
  • A valid driver's license and automobile insurance, or reliable alternate transportation that permits timely travel to multiple offices per day.
  • Knowledge of dental plans, insurance fees, administrative guidelines, limitations and exclusions, reporting systems, business correspondence, business reporting techniques, and profit and loss statements.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft applications, Epic, 1VU, BOX, and standard office equipment.
  • Ability to make timely and accurate decisions using sometimes vague or limited information.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks and projects, interpret policies and procedures, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret financial reports and legal documents and respond to inquiries from patients, team members, regulatory agencies, vendors, and other business contacts.
  • Ability to apply mathematical concepts including probability, statistical inference, fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions.
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing, lead a team, prioritize duties, coach, mentor, train, write performance evaluations, conduct feedback, and handle team member relations issues.
  • Ability to create presentations and deliver presentation content effectively.
Responsibilities
  • Complete the Operations Manager Development Program through structured curriculum, on-the-job application, and development meetings.
  • Model company culture, values, standards, and best operational practices while learning to create an environment that promotes company culture and values.
  • Assess, hire, train, supervise, counsel, coach, and retain right-fit team members.
  • Assess, investigate, and resolve staff and patient issues by analyzing facts and circumstances to develop timely, effective, and logical solutions.
  • Execute the operational model consistently to meet office imperatives in partnership with the Owner Dentist.
  • Drive year-over-year revenue and profit growth.
  • Manage expenses to achieve monthly goals and budget.
  • Follow cash management and accounting protocols.
  • Support team development of the Perfect Patient Experience.
  • Deliver leadership, coaching, and mentoring to team members and identify and implement improvement opportunities.
  • Maintain open communication with direct supervisors, keep commitments, and raise issues and concerns early.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor in accordance with company policies.
  • Use People-related functions including assessment, hiring, retention, performance evaluation, separation processes, and compensation guidance and execution.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable state, federal, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Report weekly to the Regional Manager on accomplishments, improvement areas, performance goals, and system effectiveness.
  • Demonstrate competency in managing Front Office and Back Office team members by the end of the development program.
  • Develop and implement an office success plan, including staff development and office protocols for efficient operations during manager absences.
