Requirements
A high school diploma or General Educational Development credential with up to three years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
Mobility sufficient to drive to and participate in meetings at clients' homes and community facilities, including locations that may not meet Federal accessibility standards for disabled individuals.
Mobility sufficient to work in an office environment.
Manual dexterity sufficient to operate office equipment and machines.
A valid New York State driver's license.
New York State Central Registry clearance.
Responsibilities
Respond to all incoming calls from clients and providers.
Complete diversion screenings with walk-in clients before calling 211 to confirm homelessness eligibility.
Pick up clients and transport them to the appropriate shelter as determined by 211 or the Department of Social Services.
Support quarantine placement of clients by completing documentation, transporting them to quarantine, and providing food, hygiene items, and hotel rules.
Work with designated hotel agencies and shelters to provide a warm client handoff.
Maintain and update transportation logs and documentation through shift notes.
Communicate with other shift Program Associates, caseworkers, and administrative staff as needed.
Ensure adequate staffing is in place before leaving a shift.
Observe all safety rules and regulations, including the use of personal protective equipment.

Responsibilities
Basic Function/Purpose: Facilitate the transport of individuals and families to shelter. Conduct initial
diversion/intake screening prior to contacting 211 to verify homelessness eligibility of individuals and
families. Support the quarantine placement of COVID individuals and families in DSS-contracted hotel.

This Position is Part Time. Pay for This Position is $18.50 an Hour
Qualifications
Education and/or Experience Required at Entry:
H.S. Diploma or G.E.D. with up to three (3) years relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
Experience working with homeless population preferred.
