About the company

Spectrum Effect provides a software platform that helps wireless carriers automatically analyze and mitigate RF interference in 5G NR, LTE, and UMTS networks. Its product, Spectrum-NET, uses machine learning to process data from across equipment and vendors to identify interference sources such as faulty radio gear, cross-border signals, and other RAN issues. The system guides operators on how to fix problems, improving metrics like user throughput and connection reliability while reducing churn. Spectrum Effect differentiates itself with an ML-driven, multi-vendor analytics approach backed by 30 patents and a track record of reducing analysis time (about 75%) and boosting capacity for operators such as Telkomsel. The company’s goal is to lower operators’ operating expenses and optimize capital expenditure by automating complex network analysis and interference mitigation across global mobile networks.

What believers are saying

  • Smart Axiata reported 90% plus uplink gains before its 5G launch in March 2026.
  • Spectrum Effect won Fierce Network's 2025 Analytics/Automation award, strengthening buyer credibility.
  • The March 2025 Telkomsel deployment and 2026 expansion show repeatable land-and-expand momentum.

What critics are saying

  • Spectrum Effect still reported only 11-50 employees in 2026, limiting global sales coverage.
  • A 2026 $1.86 million seed round signals weak capital access versus telecom-software rivals.
  • Customer concentration stays dangerous if Telkomsel or Smart Axiata delay renewals after 2026 pilots.

What makes Spectrum Effect unique

  • Spectrum-NET spans 6 million-plus cells globally across multi-vendor LTE, UMTS, and 5G.
  • Thirty-plus patents protect Spectrum Effect's RF interference detection, classification, and auto-mitigation stack.
  • Smart Axiata and Telkomsel validate a specialized, operator-grade workflow competitors still lack.
