A minimum of 12 years of local southwestern Ontario experience.
A Civil Engineering diploma, preferably with a focus on Geotechnical Engineering and/or Civil Engineering.
CCIL certifications.
Understanding of materials testing and inspection, road reconstruction, rebar inspection, and general construction practices.
Exceptional interpersonal, organizational, and critical thinking skills.
Excellent oral and written communication skills, including technical writing ability.
A diploma or degree in Environmental Science or Civil Engineering.
Responsibilities
Oversee and manage a team of field technicians.
Train field technicians.
Manage and coordinate a wide variety of materials testing and inspection projects, including industrial, commercial, and residential developments and road reconstruction and rehabilitation projects.
Complete site visits and meetings.
Perform complex footing and subgrade inspections.
Troubleshoot on-site issues that arise during earthworks activities.
JLP Services Inc. is currently seeking an experienced Geotechnical Field Services Lead. JLP currently provides a range of Geotechnical Services, including but not limited to: Materials Testing and Inspection, Geotechnical Investigation, Slope Stability Analysis and Foundation Design and Recommendations.

Role Responsibilities:
The Geotechnical Field Services Lead will oversee training, leading and a team of field technicians. Management and coordination of a wide variety of materials testing and inspection projects, not limited to industrial, commercial, residential developments and road reconstruction/rehabilitation projects. The work may involves completing site visits, meetings, complex footing and subgrade inspections as well as troubleshooting of on-site issues that may arise during earthworks activities.
