Requirements
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • A minimum of two years of clinical veterinary experience is required; emergency or specialty hospital experience is strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of veterinary terminology and emergency patient care is required.
  • The role requires the ability to remain calm, organized, and compassionate in a fast-paced environment.
  • The role requires the ability to lift 40 pounds or more and stand for extended periods.
  • Bilingual skills are a plus but are not required.
Responsibilities
  • Serve as the first point of contact for emergency clients, providing compassionate service during stressful situations.
  • Triage incoming emergency cases and communicate critical information to the clinical team.
  • Obtain patient histories and accurately document medical information in the electronic medical record.
  • Assist with patient intake, including obtaining vital signs when appropriate.
  • Coordinate with veterinarians and technicians to prioritize cases and maintain efficient patient flow.
  • Accurately enter service charges during the intake process to support timely invoicing.
  • Prepare and maintain exam rooms for incoming emergency patients.
  • Keep clients informed by providing updates and setting expectations throughout their visit.
  • Support efficient shift transitions and daily Emergency Department operations.
  • Work closely with veterinarians, technicians, and support teams.
Desired Qualifications
