Requirements
  • 8+ years of full-stack web development experience, including 2+ years guiding and mentoring engineers in a fast-paced environment.
  • Authority in native client and server-side JavaScript, with 5+ years proven ability in Node and React.
  • Web-specific DevOps knowledge, encompassing a fundamental understanding of SEO, performance/caching, security, and vital areas of infrastructure-specific features.
  • Deep understanding of complex database-driven web applications and how they integrate with cloud services, APIs, etc.
  • Extensive hands-on experience with modern headless CMS platforms at the enterprise level, integrating with GraphQL and similar technologies, as well as modern ORMs and clients.
  • Proactive competence in finding and correcting issues and inefficiencies, improving workflows and pipelines, and hunting bugs across the entire tech stack.
  • Experienced in applying design thinking to create thoughtful human-centered web experiences. In this role, you’ll be working closely with Design and Marketing so understanding the customer’s point-of-view and requirements is vital.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate openly within a fast-moving team and across the organization.
  • Preferred familiarity with React (primary framework you're proficient in), TypeScript (for type safety in JavaScript), Next.js (for server-side rendering and SEO, good for scalable React apps), GSAP (for advanced animations), Apollo Client (for managing GraphQL data), Contentful (headless CMS), Redocly (for API documentation).
Responsibilities
  • Own the development, maintenance, and implementation of a validated technical roadmap for our marketing sites, balancing vital upkeep and new features while addressing the needs of major customers.
  • Ownership of deployments to both front and backend platforms, including CI/CD strategies, content migration, and testing.
  • Develop and maintain disaster recovery protocols, security and performance monitoring, and other approaches to reinforce platform stability.
  • Define and codify coding standards, framework usage guidelines, and internal tooling standards to ease onboarding and provide guidance to external engineering resources.
  • Research and develop platform features that will empower internal partners to easily supply content with minimal involvement from engineering resources.
  • Make key decisions about which technologies and platforms to use and how best to maximise their features.
  • Extend, improve, and maintain developer documentation.
  • Continuously monitor analytics platforms and other tooling to identify issues and ways to improve SEO performance and other key benchmarks.
  • Write, test, and review front and backend code to improve both your and your team's work wherever possible.
  • Be responsible for projects from requirements gathering, technical scoping, time estimation, vendor onboarding, security assessment, and full development cycle.
  • Partner with design and marketing leaders to understand, clarify, and define UX requirements.
