Position Summary:
We are seeking a Principal to join our Origination team. In this role you will play a pivotal role in connecting our origination processes to company formation and support of companies within Lovisa Afzelius’s PBU. This position is ideal for a proactive individual who thrives in a dynamic environment and is eager to support and enhance operational frameworks across the PBU.

- Desire to learn and support Origination process within FSP environment
- Pride in being part of connective tissue at FSP, joining up origination to company formation, and PBU to FSP
- Successful as a self-starter while recognizing need for communication, coordination, and cohesion with team
Operational Excellence
- Attend FSP enterprise-level, OPM meetings to share and collect insights with OPMs across PBUs, and read back to PBU leadership
- Establish rapport and meet regularly with OPMs in other PBUs and FSP businesses (such as PI, PM)
- Bespoke outreach to individuals in FSP ecosystem to coordinate and advance dedicated workstreams as they arise
- Notice issue and escalate to attention of Partner with appropriate level of urgency; handle situations where appropriate and marshal necessary resources
Portfolio Strategy and Support
- Manage portfolio view of PBU and generate on-demand analyses
- Develop/evolve dashboard views, either for internal tracking within PBU, or in a format that is consistent and synergizes with other PBUs
- Brainstorm and work with teams to initiate touchpoints with Lovisa and with FSP partners/stakeholders
- Support preparation for quarterly PBU Business Review
Team Development and Collaboration
- Trusted advisor and nexus for both PBU and NewCo staff
- Create community, engage with people across all levels of an organization, as well as external stakeholders
- Support team learning and development in close partnership with HR by embedding talent development, mentorship, learning, work-life balance / capacity, succession planning into our processes, governance, and resourcing
- Notice team dynamics that are at play in a given setting and brainstorm, problem-solve, or escalate to attention of Partner as appropriate
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Life Sciences, or a related field; an advanced degree is desirable.
- Proven experience in consulting, operations, portfolio management, or a strategic role within the biotechnology or life sciences sector.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to conduct detailed analyses and generate actionable insights.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of engaging stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Demonstrated ability to be a proactive self-starter while working collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.
