Requirements
  • At least a high school diploma or GED equivalency.
  • A minimum of five years of experience in construction safety, preferably in the telecommunications or electrical industry.
  • Knowledge of the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) 29 CFR 1926 Safety and Health Regulations for Construction.
  • Current status as an Authorized OSHA OTI 500 Construction Outreach Trainer.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with project stakeholders, including field personnel, IES management, and customer interfaces.
  • Ability to respond as needed in support of safety emergency situations, with or without advance notice.
  • Must meet Company minimum driving standards.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to travel within the branch or regional territory as needed.
  • Ability to perform inspection functions requiring walking, climbing, squatting, lifting, bending, twisting, and related physical activity.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds and distinguish applicable codes, colors, and symbols correctly.
  • Ability to learn Company and customer computer systems.
  • Regular and reliable job attendance is required.
Responsibilities
  • Implement, administer, maintain, and coordinate IES safety policies and programs for assigned projects and others as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with IES, site, customer, federal, and state safety policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Develop and manage safety and health initiatives to prevent and eliminate occupational incidents, injuries, and illnesses.
  • Perform and develop safety presentations and related training.
  • Schedule and perform documented jobsite safety audits and inspections.
  • Oversee confined-space entry activities and maintain associated documentation and training requirements.
  • Identify potential hazards, develop safety action plans, correct non-compliance issues, and coordinate implementation with operations and management.
  • Develop processes and plans to reduce or eliminate hazards and safety incidents.
  • Deliver new-employee orientation, OSHA 10/30-hour training, and other required safety training.
  • Deliver and coordinate safety training for management and field personnel on accident prevention, safety policies, procedures, and applicable standards.
  • Prepare written reports and summaries regarding safety audits, investigations, and issues.
  • Conduct and coordinate root-cause investigations of recordable incidents, near misses, and vehicle incidents.
  • Use root-cause analysis to help operations identify and implement corrective actions.
  • Lead and participate in OSHA inspection processes and communicate effectively with project stakeholders.
  • Prepare and maintain safety-related records and reports.
  • Teach, counsel, and mentor stakeholders to uphold the IES safety culture.
  • Coordinate activities with and support site management.
  • Support company culture and mission with employees, vendors, clients, and business partners.
  • Act as the company liaison with customers, vendors, contractors, and IES representatives.
Desired Qualifications
  • EMT or higher credentials.
  • Associate degree or higher.
  • Experience in the telecommunications or electrical industry.
  • Knowledge and experience with Confined Space Entry Standards 1926.1200 Subpart AA.
  • Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST) certification or equivalent.

IES Holdings subsidiary acquires Broadwind Texas facility for $19.5M

IES Holdings subsidiary IES Infrastructure has agreed to acquire Broadwind Heavy Fabrications' production facility in Abilene, Texas, for up to $19.5 million. The deal includes real property, equipment, machinery and related assets, with consideration comprising cash and non-cash value tied to a below-market lease arrangement. Approximately 140 employees involved in wind tower manufacturing are expected to transfer to IES Infrastructure after the lease term ends. The transaction was announced on 5 May 2026, following a definitive agreement signed on 30 April. IES Holdings reported second-quarter adjusted earnings per share of $4.16, up from $3.30 year-on-year, with revenue rising to $974.2 million from $834 million. The company maintains a backlog of approximately $3.9 billion, driven by strong demand in data centres and communications infrastructure.

IES Holdings reported fiscal second-quarter 2026 results on 1 May, with revenue reaching $974 million, up 17% year-over-year. IES director sells $3.8M in shares following 157% stock surge

IES Holdings director Todd Cleveland sold 7,500 shares of common stock valued at approximately $3.8 million across two transactions between 24 February and 4 March 2026, according to SEC filings. The sales represented about 8.9% of his direct holdings at the start of the period. The sale occurred following a 157% one-year total return in IESC stock and continues a multi-year pattern of position reduction. Cleveland's remaining direct holdings now stand at roughly half their April 2023 level, valued at approximately $34.1 million based on the 20 March closing price of $436.95. The 7,500-share sale was smaller than Cleveland's roughly 10,000-share median for previous open-market sales since April 2023.
