Senior Software Engineer - Backend
About the job
- Build microservices-based cloud products and platforms.
- Design REST APIs and make informed decisions about RESTful API design.
- Automate software delivery and maintain robust deployment pipelines.
- Demonstrate that code works reliably in production.
- Have 8+ years of software engineering experience.
- Have 5+ years of recent Java experience.
- Have 3+ years of AWS experience, including some combination of Amazon EC2, Amazon ECS, Amazon RDS, AWS Lambda, and Amazon DynamoDB.
- Model data in both relational and non-relational databases and determine when to use each type.
- Design, architect, and build Java and Kotlin microservices using an API-first approach.
- Collaborate with design, product, and engineering colleagues to execute the product roadmap.
- Help establish testing, pipeline, infrastructure, and deployment pipelines to support fast and predictable software delivery.
- Ensure the software works correctly and resolve customer issues.
- Have 3+ years of experience working on enterprise, billing, configure-price-quote, finance, or other business software.
- Have deployed a GraphQL API to production.
- Have experience working with remote teams on complex software experiences.
- Have experience with JavaScript and React and understand how a modern frontend interacts with APIs.
