The Position:
Rose Rocket is hiring an experienced Engineer to be a peer to both the engineering and sales teams. This is a unique opportunity for an engineer to work more closely with our users while making a strong contribution to the sales process. The Sales Engineer will be comfortable with developing demos to showcase the full potential of the Rose Rocket platform.
This is a newly formed team within Rose Rocket. We are looking for an Engineer with hands-on development skills and an understanding of Node, Typescript, React, and Postgresql.

Job responsibilities:
Reporting to the Engineering Lead on our Platform Builder Team, the Sales Engineer will play a key role in our sales process. This will range from creating and in some cases delivering custom demos of our software platform to preparing technical responses during the proposal process. The Sales Engineer will create and share bespoke solutions based on requirements gathered by our Account Executives & Pre-Sales teams to highlight that our platform and implementation approach can meet our customerās needs, and fit into their overall architecture.
The Sales Engineer will use our tooling to configure and customize the Rose Rocket Platform to meet customer requirements for demos. The Sales Engineer will have the opportunity to communicate with non-technical stakeholders to explain how our software works as well as trade-offs around configuration and changes.
Technical Solution Development:
Collaborate with the Account Executives & Pre-Sales team to understand customer needs and develop customized technical solutions for demo purposes.
Possess detailed product knowledge of how Rose Rocketās platform can be leveraged to help customers achieve their desired outcomes.
Design and propose comprehensive solution architectures that leverage our offerings to meet customer objectives.
Demos and Proof of Concepts builds:
Technical Expertise and Thought Leadership:
Develop a deep understanding of the Transportation Management Software (TMS) industry to create differentiation between us and our competitors.
Provide guidance and thought leadership to customers on technical implementations, integrations, and optimization strategies.
Lead by Example: Be active within your team and the company; escalate questions or issues to leadership; seek feedback; engage the wider team or other leadership for support when needed
What youāll need to be successful:
3+ years of experience in a Software Engineering or Technology Consulting capacity
Proven ability to work alongside Account Executives and Pre-Sales team members
Hands-on technology development skills and experience: Node, Typescript, React, SQL, Postgresql
Familiarity with enterprise SaaS software: SAP, Oracle, Salesforce, Dynamics, Hubspot, Identity Platforms (ADFS, Okta etc), integration platforms (Mulesoft etc), data platforms (Snowflake, Databricks) etc.
Familiarity with major cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, GCP
Familiarity with directly responding to customer needs
