DTS System Engineer - Quality Engineering

Job Responsibilities:

• Collaborate closely with software engineers, product managers, and stakeholders to ensure quality considerations are incorporated into product design, development, and system architecture.
• Review system architecture, technical solutions, and code changes to proactively identify potential risks affecting quality, scalability, maintainability, and system reliability.
• Design and execute testing strategies, including functional testing, integration testing, regression testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT), to ensure product quality and business requirements are met.
• Develop, maintain, and continuously enhance automated testing frameworks, testing tools, and testing processes to improve software quality and overall engineering efficiency.
• Analyze system architecture, business logic, and system interactions to proactively identify edge cases, hidden defects, and potential failure risks before production release.
• Work closely with development teams to perform root cause analysis, troubleshoot complex technical issues, and drive long-term quality improvements.
• Establish and promote quality engineering best practices, testing standards, and continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen the quality culture across development teams.
• Contribute to software development, internal tooling, and automation solutions as needed to support project and business requirements.

Requirements:

Must-Have

1. 2+ years of experience in software testing, QA, or software development.
2. Basic software development knowledge or programming experience (such as Java, C#, JavaScript, Python, or similar).
3. Ability to design and organize structured test scenarios and test cases.
4. Familiarity with API testing, system integration testing, and regression testing concepts.
5. Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
6. Good communication and collaboration abilities.
7. Proactive mindset with willingness to continuously improve processes and workflows.

Nice to Have 

1. Experience with automated testing tools or frameworks.
2. Familiarity with CI/CD workflows and DevOps concepts.
3. Experience using Git or issue tracking systems (Jira, Redmine, etc.).
4. Basic SQL knowledge for data validation and troubleshooting.
5. Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and testing methodologies.
6. Experience in POS, retail, or business application systems.
7. Ability to assist with simple development or scripting tasks.
