  • An active Washington State Medical Assistant–Phlebotomist certification is required.
  • A High School Diploma/GED or equivalent is required.
  • Strong customer service and phlebotomy skills are required.
  • The candidate must pass a pre-hire competency test.
Responsibilities
  • Perform venipuncture and capillary blood draws and ensure proper specimen handling.
  • Conduct electrocardiograms and spirometry testing with proper calibration and documentation.
  • Process specimens for reference laboratories and maintain quality control and quality assurance logs.
  • Maintain inventory and equipment and follow safe laboratory practices in accordance with Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments, Occupational Safety and Health Administration, and Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act requirements.
  • Communicate results and coordinate with providers and clinical staff.
Desired Qualifications
  • Bilingual English/Spanish ability is preferred.
