About the job
- At least five years of legal experience is required.
- Strong experience in commercial and technology transactions is required.
- Superior drafting skills are required.

- Proficiency with artificial intelligence tools to streamline legal workflows is expected.
- Knowledge of federal and state health insurance regulations, the Employee Retirement Income Security Act, and the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act is required for the role.
- Provide legal support and strategic advice to the Sales and Client Management teams.
- Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements with clients and strategic partners, including Business Associate Agreements, Master Service Agreements, and Statements of Work.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to resolve contractual, compliance, and regulatory matters.
- Experience working in-house is preferred.
- Experience supporting sales teams is preferred.
- Experience in healthcare technology is ideal.

The L Suite, a peer community for in-house legal leaders, has partnered with Anthropic to launch two Claude connectors for the legal industry. The initiative marks the first time The L Suite's peer intelligence has been made available outside its private member platform. TopCounsel by The L Suite helps lawyers find outside counsel for specific matters, recommending individual lawyers based on aggregated member sentiment, expertise from over 2,000 speaking engagements, and thousands of shared documents. Lloyd by The L Suite, a private connector for members, provides access to thousands of peer discussion threads, 3,000-plus shared documents, 5,000-plus hours of event content, and 10,000-plus outside counsel recommendations. Founded in 2015, The L Suite serves 2,500 chief legal officers and general counsels across the US and Europe.
The Suite, a professional community platform for legal and finance executives, has appointed Laura Belmont as General Counsel. She will lead the organisation's legal function and oversee content strategy for The L Suite, its community for in-house counsel. Belmont brings experience across BigLaw, Fortune 40 companies, technology, and nonprofit sectors. Most recently, she served as General Counsel at Civis Analytics, a data science and AI company, where she built legal, compliance, privacy and cybersecurity functions and established AI governance frameworks. She has been an active member of TechGC, The L Suite's community for general counsels at venture-backed tech companies, for five years. Belmont is a recognised thought leader on AI governance and has received multiple legal industry awards. She holds degrees from Harvard University and American University Washington College of Law.
