Tauck adds new riverboat to Rhone fleet for 2028. August 12, 2026 Tauck is expanding its river cruise presence in France with the 2028 launch of the ms Harmonie, a new Rhone riverboat and sister ship to the ms Lumiere. The 130-guest vessel will share the Lumiere's deck plan and several of its signature spaces. "River cruising continues to be one of the most popular ways guests first experience Tauck, and the feedback our river guests have shared over the years shapes every ship we build," said Tauck CEO Jennifer Tombaugh, in a media statement. "The name Harmonie, which carries the same meaning in French and English, speaks to what Recommend hope guests feel on board and along the river: a sense of balance, ease and connection to the places Recommend explore.o Designed for the Rhone. Custom-built for the river, Harmonie will accommodate up to 30 percent fewer guests than comparably sized riverboats. Its amenities will include a Sun Deck with a swimming pool, full-service bar and shaded day beds, along with The Retreat, an expanded wellness area with a fitness center, massage treatment room and lounge. The ship will also feature Arthur's, a casual dining venue with panoramic views, along with sky-lit atriums, light-filled lounges and 300-square-foot Tauck Suites. The addition comes as Tauck continues a multi-year fleet expansion. Between 2026 and 2028, the company is introducing five new riverboats: Lumiere and Serene in 2026, Reverie and Saudade in 2027 and Harmonie in 2028. By 2028, Tauck expects its river cruise capacity to increase by more than 50 percent, supported by additional shoulder-season departures, a new 6-day cruise format and expanded destinations. Harmonie will sail alongside Lumiere on popular itineraries, including Savoring France: Paris, Lyon & Provence, with additional itineraries planned for 2028. Travelers can reserve 2028 sailings now. Tauck will allow guests to cancel and receive a full refund of their deposit once final pricing and itinerary details are announced later this fall.

Tauck adds Baltic Sea itinerary, expands small ship capacity for 2027. 02-25-2026 9:25 am Tauck has unveiled its 2027 Small Ship Cruising lineup, led by a new Baltic Sea itinerary and added capacity on select Mediterranean and Iberian sailings. The new Cruising the Baltic Sea journey will operate aboard Ponant's Explorer-class Le Champlain, carrying an average of fewer than 160 guests per sailing. The 12-day itinerary (from US$12,990 per person, double occupancy, plus airfare) includes calls in Stockholm, Helsinki, Tallinn, Wismar, Gdańsk, Copenhagen and the island of Visby. The program marks Tauck's return to the Baltic region, reflecting growing interest in Northern Europe and cooler-climate destinations. Highlights include a Tauck-exclusive dinner at Stockholm's Vasa Museum, visits to Estonia's Memorial to the Victims of Communism, Poland's European Solidarity Centre, and the UNESCO-listed old towns of Visby and Lübeck. Onboard enrichment will feature a dedicated lecturer, and select excursions will access ports suited to smaller vessels. Tauck said early demand has already placed the itinerary close to selling out. "Our small ship cruises continue to resonate with guests because they combine distinctive itinerary design, meaningful cultural access and a level of care that removes the complexity from travel," said Jennifer Tombaugh, CEO of Tauck. "For 2027, we're building on that foundation - introducing a long-anticipated new Baltic Sea itinerary while continuing to refine and enhance our most popular journeys."
