Requirements
  • A minimum of six years of industrial maintenance experience with significant experience in industrial automation and controls, or an equivalent combination of advanced technical education and experience.
  • Strong understanding of industrial electrical systems, automation, controls, instrumentation, and mechanical systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills.

  • Experience with Allen-Bradley ControlLogix, CompactLogix, PLC-5, and SLC 500 platforms; RSLogix and Studio 5000; FactoryTalk View ME; Allen-Bradley PanelView; Connected Components Workbench; Kinetix and Allen-Bradley or Indramat servo controllers; Allen-Bradley PowerFlex; VFD programming and troubleshooting; Ethernet/IP, DeviceNet, ControlNet, Profibus, serial communications, and industrial Ethernet; power distribution, motor controls, and electrical panels.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and CMMS software.
  • Ability to work standing, walking, climbing, lifting up to 50 pounds, working at heights, around moving machinery, and in varying temperatures while wearing required personal protective equipment.
  • Ability to comply with OSHA, FDA, GMP, food safety, company safety, Lockout/Tagout, electrical safety, and confined space procedures.
  • Ability to maintain tools and test equipment in safe operating condition.
Responsibilities
  • Design, program, troubleshoot, modify, and maintain PLC, HMI, servo, and motion control systems.
  • Develop and maintain PLC and HMI programs for new equipment installations, upgrades, and process improvements.
  • Design, build, modify, and upgrade industrial control panels in accordance with the National Electrical Code and applicable electrical standards.
  • Configure, troubleshoot, and maintain industrial communication networks and other industrial protocols.
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software associated with PLCs, operator interfaces, servo controllers, variable frequency drives, remote I/O, and safety systems.
  • Diagnose complex automation and interface issues to reduce production downtime and improve equipment reliability.
  • Support automation upgrades, modernization projects, and capital improvement initiatives.
  • Develop backup procedures for PLC and HMI programs and maintain current software revisions.
  • Interpret electrical schematics, ladder logic, P&IDs, wiring diagrams, and mechanical drawings.
  • Troubleshoot and repair automated manufacturing equipment.
  • Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on production equipment.
  • Assist maintenance personnel in diagnosing complex mechanical and electrical interface problems.
  • Ensure production equipment is fully operational before releasing it back to production.
  • Perform equipment modifications and machine improvements that increase reliability and efficiency.
  • Identify opportunities to improve equipment performance, safety, quality, and uptime.
  • Lead root cause failure analysis for recurring equipment failures.
  • Recommend and implement automation improvements to reduce downtime and maintenance costs.
  • Support Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Participate in equipment installations, commissioning, and startup activities.
  • Complete maintenance work orders accurately using the Computerized Maintenance Management System.
  • Generate shift reports, troubleshooting documentation, project summaries, and maintenance records.
  • Maintain accurate documentation for PLC programs and control panel modifications.
  • Serve as the technical resource for controls and automation throughout the plant.
  • Mentor and train maintenance technicians in PLC troubleshooting, electrical diagnostics, automation systems, and maintenance practices.
  • Provide operational training and technical support to production personnel.
  • Communicate with cross-functional teams and external vendors.
  • Maintain clean and organized work areas.
  • Ensure repairs meet applicable electrical codes and manufacturing standards.
  • Support spare parts inventory management by identifying critical components and recommending stocking levels.
  • Execute special projects as assigned.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Desired Qualifications
  • An associate degree or higher in Industrial Automation, Electrical Engineering Technology, Mechatronics, Electronics, or a related technical field.
  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.
  • NFPA 70E electrical safety training.
  • Allen-Bradley or Rockwell Automation certifications.
  • Manufacturing automation experience.

Developed by Crown Holdings in partnership with The Community Builders, one of the nation's largest affordable housing organizations, the project will provide 95 Affordable Independent Residences for Seniors (AIRS) and form part of a broader neighborhood regeneration initiative in Morris Heights. Designed by Crown Architecture, the approximately 55,000-square-foot, 100-foot-tall building will bring housing and support services to a borough where demand for affordable homes outpaces supply. In addition to housing, residents will have access to onsite amenities and services that include community and recreational spaces, an outdoor patio and garden, consultation rooms, laundry facilities, bicycle storage and a 24-hour attended reception The project incorporates a strong sustainability agenda through its Passive House design standards. The all-electric building will also feature an approximately 1,800-square-foot rooftop solar array.

Crown Holdings raises 2026 earnings guidance to $8.30-$8.50 with Q2 adjusted EPS up 16% to $2.49

Crown Holdings reported second quarter 2026 results showing diluted earnings per share of $2.23, up from $1.56 in 2025. Adjusted diluted earnings per share increased 16% to $2.49 compared to $2.15 in the prior year. Global beverage can volumes rose 5%, driven by double-digit growth in Asia and increases of 7% in Europe and 5% in North America. Net sales reached $3,668 million versus $3,149 million in the second quarter of 2025. The company repurchased $305 million in shares during the quarter, representing almost 7% of outstanding shares over the previous twelve months. The net leverage ratio stood at 2.5 times adjusted EBITDA. Crown raised its full year guidance for adjusted diluted earnings per share to a range of $8.30 to $8.50, up from $7.90 to $8.30 previously. The company expects to generate adjusted free cash flow of at least $900 million.
