We are looking for an experienced North America/Canada Payroll Lead who wants to make this Company’s Payroll best in class. This role will work with the global payroll project team, our Payroll Consultant, and our 3rd party provider Ceridian. You will also act as a key operational and transactional payroll lead who is the interface between HR/Line Managers/Finance and Employees in the countries you are responsible for.
So what does it take to be successful in this role?
You will need to be well versed in Ceridian and experienced working with MSPs. You’ll be functioning as our lead of payroll for NA, and will want to be comfortable running multiple complex payroll runs throughout the month for both CA and US and hourly and salaried employees. Note taking, communication, and project management will be important. You will be working with DCH as a payroll consultant for complex payroll and configuration, so we’ll count on you to help us determine better ways of working.
You’ll be responsible for 401K Management; Review and upload semimonthly and hourly 401k feeds to our 401k provider, Audit and review employees’ payroll records ensuring deductions are correct, Responsible for Yearly Compliance and Audit of the plans, Coordinate 401k projects between, Upfield, payroll provider, and 401k provider.
In addition, you’ll be leading a team in NA and Canada, so leadership experience will be key, as well as managing the end-to-end payroll process.
Upfield does12 payroll runs a month for 700 employees so you’ll want to be well versed in US and CA laws and regulations.
