Requirements
  • Knowledge of common criminal justice system terminology and processes.
  • Expertise in instructional design and training development, including lesson plans, training guides, and learning aids.
  • At least 5 years of experience developing and delivering training for adult learners.
  • At least 3 years of experience as a sworn law enforcement officer or in similar criminal justice work.
  • A required degree; experience or other qualifications cannot substitute for the degree requirement.
  • Must have a Secret clearance.
Responsibilities
  • Develop formal and informal training regarding criminal and administrative indexing for the Department of the Air Force.
  • Develop AFCJIC-specific training programs, presentations, and artifacts, including training guides, lesson plans, training aids, and knowledge checks, for newly hired and current personnel.
  • Assess and develop training programs incorporating law, policy, and procedures from law enforcement and legal functional components for guided and self-paced training opportunities and requirements.
  • Coordinate with and develop training for other Department of the Air Force agencies responsible for notifications to AFCJIC that facilitate criminal and administrative indexing actions.
  • Schedule and conduct ad hoc and recurring indexing training with pertinent Department of the Air Force entities.
  • Develop, review, and conduct virtual and in-person training for Indexing Compliance Managers across the Department of the Air Force regarding indexing policy, procedures, and processes.
  • Integrate training development efforts into established functional training courses for law enforcement and legal personnel.
  • Plan and schedule training at a government facility or designated contractor training facility.
  • Ensure the training facility can support 10–12 training sessions per year, with 25 people per session and each session lasting 5 days.
