Requirements
  • Expertise in Amazon Web Services administration, including Elastic Compute Cloud, Elastic Block Store, Simple Storage Service, Identity and Access Management policies, Auto Scaling, security groups, Key Management Service, and Route 53.
  • Extensive knowledge of Python, Ansible, and Jenkins.
  • Expertise in Java application support and fluency in the Java programming language.
  • Knowledge of PL/SQL.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills for web-based, scripted, and Java applications.
  • A bachelor's degree in an area of specialty.
  • At least 8–10 years of experience in the field or a related area.
  • At least 5 years of experience with Amazon Web Services.
  • At least 8 years of experience with Unix/Linux.
  • At least 8 years of front-end integration experience working with development teams on deployment of web-based applications using Java, ASP, or ASP.NET in Amazon Web Services.
Responsibilities
  • Design and code software from specifications; analyze, evaluate, test, debug, document, and implement complex software applications.
  • Configure and install applications in Amazon Web Services.
  • Use coding methods in specific programming languages to initiate or enhance program execution and functionality.
  • Participate in evaluating, recommending, and selecting hardware and software solutions.
  • Estimate, schedule, and monitor project tasks as part of project management activities.
  • Perform expert-level engineering tasks associated with the analysis, design, and development of computer software.
  • Troubleshoot Java programs.
  • Interface with different departments regarding new deployments.
  • Support and troubleshoot Java-based WebSphere applications running in Amazon Web Services.
  • Use troubleshooting and diagnostic skills to identify and resolve technical and functional issues.
Desired Qualifications
  • Knowledge of WebSphere technologies.
