Requirements
  • A Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering, Biosystems Engineering, or Agricultural Engineering is required.
  • Zero to three years of experience in Civil Engineering is required.
  • The ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks is required.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are required.
  • Superior problem-solving and analytical skills are required.
  • Solid critical-thinking skills and attention to detail are required.
  • A valid driver's license in good standing is required.
  • Periodic travel is required.
  • Candidates must be permanently authorized to work in the United States without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.
Responsibilities
  • Effectively use AutoCAD Civil 3D to design various project features and use ArcGIS for watershed planning.
  • Prepare design computations and quantity estimates under the supervision of a licensed engineer.
  • Assist with preparing reports, specifications, plans, and permit applications.
  • Interface with computer-aided design and geographic information system designers and coordinate with other engineering departments on complex multidisciplinary projects.
  • Assist with client contact and communications.
  • Perform onsite construction observation and other field work, including surveying, stream assessments, and wetland delineations.
Desired Qualifications
  • Preference is given to candidates with experience in AutoCAD Civil 3D, ArcGIS, or hydrologic and hydraulic modeling software.
