PARIMA and QBE Insurance open applications for Next-Gen Risk Takers Mumbai stop. PARIMA, the Pan-Asia Risk and Insurance Management Association, opens applications for the Mumbai stop of its 2026 Next-Gen Risk Takers (NGRT) challenge, held in partnership with QBE Insurance. The 2026 programme expands to six cities across the region, including Hong Kong, Taipei, Manila, Mumbai, Penang, and Beijing. The Mumbai stop is scheduled for 12 June 2026 during the PARIMA Mumbai Conference. Applications for this leg close on 23 April 2026 and are open to emerging risk professionals who will be physically attending the event. The NGRT challenge is a public-speaking competition where finalists share a risk-related story in seven minutes without visual aids, followed by a Q&A session with judges and the audience. Winners from each city stop win a trip to the PARIMA Singapore Conference in October 2026 to compete in the first-ever NGRT Grand Final, where one contestant will be crowned the Ultimate Next-Gen Risk Taker. Commenting on the launch, PARIMA says: "This is YOUR chance to shine! Contend with two other finalists and come out on top in the NGRT Mumbai stop to win yourself a trip to the PARIMA Singapore Conference and compete in the NGRT Grand Final later in the year." PARIMA is a non-profit professional association for risk managers in Asia. The organisation aims to strengthen and enhance the culture of risk management by creating opportunities for education and dialogue within the community. The NGRT initiative forms part of the association's mission to nurture the next generation of risk talent. For the captive insurance industry, which depends on a pipeline of specialised risk management expertise and alternative risk leadership, such programmes are seen as vital for long-term industry resilience. Interested applicants can submit an application to [email protected] or through the official PARIMA website.

Sponsor announcement: QBE sponsors the ERG Blueprint Conference 2026. March 16, 2026 ERG Blueprint is proud to announce that QBE has joined ERG Blueprint as a sponsor of the ERG Blueprint Conference 2026, taking place on Tuesday, 28 April at the Leonardo Royal St Paul's in London. QBE is widely recognised for its strong commitment to inclusion, wellbeing, and employee-led change. The organisation supports a number of employee networks across its business, each designed to create space for connection, advocacy, and cultural progress for different communities and allies. Circle, QBE's gender-focused employee network, is one example of how these networks are helping drive meaningful change from within the organisation. Originally established to support gender equity, Circle relaunched in 2025 with a renewed focus on intersectional inclusion and active allyship, including encouraging greater male engagement in conversations around gendered experiences. The network creates safe spaces to discuss topics often overlooked in the workplace, such as menopause, baby loss and domestic abuse. Since its relaunch, Circle has grown rapidly across QBE's International Division, increasing allyship by more than 40% and welcoming over 269 new members. Working with Refuge UK and the QBE Foundation, the network has also helped shape QBE's Domestic Abuse Guidelines and deliver awareness initiatives supporting colleagues across the organisation. Circle is one of several employee networks at QBE, each contributing in different ways to building a more inclusive workplace and strengthening employee voice across the organisation. As a sponsor of the ERG Blueprint Conference, QBE brings a powerful example of how employee networks can influence policy, build inclusive cultures, and drive real organisational impact. Harry Benham, Senior Inclusion Manager, Culture & Change, QBE UK Limited: "At QBE, we believe inclusion is strongest when it is led by our people. Our employee networks play an important role in creating space for conversation, learning, and progress across the organisation. QBE Foundation partners with Centre for Women's Economic Safety to expand financial support for women across Australia. The QBE Foundation is proud to announce a new community partnership with the Centre for Women's Economic Safety (CWES), an organisation dedicated to supporting women experiencing economic abuse and driving systemic change to improve economic safety. The partnership aims to support the expansion of CWES's Money Clinics program, which offers free and confidential financial guidance to women, non-binary and gender diverse people experiencing or concerned about economic abuse. The QBE Foundation will help CWES launch a hybrid model of Money Clinics, combining virtual and mobile services to reach more people in rural and regional communities across Australia. This initiative will help CWES broaden its reach and provide vital support to more women in need. Julie Starley, Co-Chair of the QBE Foundation, said the partnership reflects the QBE Foundation's focus on creating strong, resilient and inclusive communities by supporting initiatives that provide practical help where it's needed most. "We are proud to support CWES and the vital work they do to improve economic safety for women. By helping expand the Money Clinics program, we aim to increase access to financial guidance and resources for those facing significant challenges," she said. Chris Esson, Co-Chair of the QBE Foundation, highlighted the importance of reaching rural and regional communities with these services. "This partnership is about making support more accessible for women in areas where services can be harder to reach. Through mobile and virtual Money Clinics, CWES will be able to connect with more women in rural and regional areas, providing practical help that can help make a lasting impact on their economic safety," he said. Rebecca Glenn, CEO and founder of CWES, said "We're delighted to partner with QBE Foundation in developing this innovative model to support more women across Australia. The research shows us that women in rural and regional areas face higher rates of violence and abuse and greater barriers to support. This investment helps us address that gap and deliver Money Clinics to less well-served areas of Australia." About the QBE Foundation.
