About the job
- A bachelor's degree in manufacturing, industrial, or mechanical engineering.
- Ability to read and understand complex drawings connected with aerospace component manufacture.
- Experience with conventional machining tooling and fixtures.
- Ability to understand and articulate 3D geometry to support fixture design and manufacture.
- Knowledge of CAD/CAM packages, ideally NX and/or Inventor.
- IT literacy with Microsoft packages.
- Ability to work onsite at the Winbro facility in Dajia, Taichung City, Taiwan.
- Provide manufacturing engineering support and programming capability for manufacturing processes, including EDM hole drilling, die sink, grinding, milling, laser, and other auxiliary operations.
- Lead new product introduction engineering activities.
- Provide day-to-day support for existing product lines and processes.
- Employ continuous improvement methodologies to reduce defects and improve right-first-time performance.
- Support the design, delivery, and prove-out of tooling and fixturing solutions.
- Review technical drawings, conduct process analysis, and prepare quotations.
- Provide technical liaison between engineering and production.
- Create and implement manufacturing documentation and work instructions for ISO 9001, AS9100D, and NADCAP.
- Reduce non-conformance through structured and targeted process improvement.
- Own and improve process capability (Cp and Cpk) using data analysis tools such as statistical process control and Minitab.
- Solve problems using structured methods such as 3C, 8D, and DMAIC.
