- Current Level III Wastewater Treatment Operator Certification, with proof of certification required.
- Ability to lift 25 kilograms (55 pounds).
- Intermediate to advanced mechanical knowledge.
- Ability to work under pressure quickly and efficiently.
- Microsoft Office program experience.
- Proven ability to supervise and communicate with staff members.
- Training certificates in H2S, First Aid, Confined Space, and TDG are listed.
- Supervisor safety training courses are considered an asset.
- Carry out the daily operation of the facilities, including regulatory monitoring and reporting, process adjustments, chemical transferring, and maintenance.
- Provide operational support and troubleshooting for plant operations.
- Maintain required inventory and control of critical spare parts, chemicals, and consumables.
- Create maintenance requests and assist the Technical Services Group with developing work-scope quotations for work within the plant facility.
- Monitor lift stations as required.
- Monitor storm ponds as required.
- Complete and compile data from daily inspections, monitoring, and sampling as required.
- Perform maintenance tasks requested by the supervisor.
- Perform laboratory analysis and reporting.
- Prepare weekly, monthly, and annual reports as required.
- Provide training and mentorship to plant operational staff.
- Participate in required meetings, both in person and remotely.
- Participate in, enforce, and comply with all aspects of the company’s health and safety program.
- A positive attitude and ability to promote a positive image of AQUATECH.
- Supervisor safety training courses are considered an asset.
