  • Valid Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse licensure.
  • Valid cardiopulmonary resuscitation certification.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Ability to push, pull, reach, and bend frequently.

Responsibilities
  • Assess, plan, and deliver comprehensive healthcare to patients.
  • Administer medications.
  • Perform medical intakes and assess whether patients are fit for incarceration, as needed.
  • Respond to sick call requests and follow up with the medical provider when needed.
  • Check and change medical dressings as required by the medical provider.
  • Perform 14-day physicals.
  • Manage chronic care.
  • Provide patient education on health concerns.
  • Respond to medical emergencies, perform lifesaving measures, and take charge and give direction during an emergency.
  • Maintain working knowledge of pharmacology, including drug reactions and overdoses, formulary and non-formulary medications, and medication costs.
  • Provide insight and direction to medically trained personnel, as needed.
  • Comply with all current and future state, federal, and local laws and regulations.
