Requirements
  • 7+ years of experience in product design, with a significant portion of that time spent working on complex B2B or SaaS products
  • 3+ years of design leadership experience, with a proven track record of building, managing, and developing high-performing teams
  • A compelling portfolio or a demonstrated track record that showcases your ability to lead design for complex, large-scale products
  • A strategic mindset with the ability to connect design decisions directly to business goals, user value, and long-term vision
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and storytelling skills; capable of clearly articulating vision and rationale to executive leadership, your team, and the entire company
  • Deep empathy for users and a passion for solving complex problems with elegant, human-centered solutions
  • A collaborative spirit, a low ego, and an eagerness to work in a transparent environment where feedback is shared openly and constructively
  • This position is onsite in either San Francisco, CA or New York City, NY.
Responsibilities
  • Define the Vision: own and articulate the overarching design vision and strategy for Unify, ensuring it aligns with our company goals and drives the future of our product.
  • Drive Craft & Quality: Champion and elevate the craft of design across the organization. You will be the standard-bearer for quality, establishing processes and systems that ensure we ship polished, thoughtful, and impactful work.
  • Lead & Develop a team of Designers: Lead, mentor, and grow our team of talented product designers. Foster a collaborative, innovative, and inclusive culture that empowers designers to do their best work. Develop career paths and growth opportunities for your team members.
  • Be a Strategic Partner: Act as a key member of the product leadership team, collaborating closely with peers in Product Management, Engineering, and Go-to-Market to shape our product roadmap and strategy.
  • Champion the User: Be the ultimate advocate for our users in all product decisions. Drive a culture of deep user empathy and leverage research and data to inform our design direction.
  • Scale Design Operations: Implement and refine design processes (UX research, prototyping, QA, and documentation), and systems to create efficiency and excellence as we scale.
