Simplify's Take

What believers are saying

  • June 2026 NTIA work supports broadband expansion, a durable priority under federal funding.
  • February and June 2026 NIST task orders keep revenue flowing into 2027.
  • DHS renewed emergency-alerting projects in 2026, sustaining Corner Alliance's innovation narrative.

What critics are saying

  • Corner Alliance depends on federal procurement cycles; a shutdown or recompetition can stall revenue.
  • Its marquee alerting work ties to DHS priorities; one canceled program weakens differentiation.
  • No consumer business exists; losing OASIS or MAS access threatens the company entirely.

What makes Corner Alliance unique

  • Corner Alliance wins niche federal innovation work across DHS, FEMA, NIST, NTIA, and IRS.
  • Its OASIS and MAS vehicles give repeat access to multiple agencies through 2030.
  • It pairs consulting with deployed emergency-alert prototypes like AWN and WUI integration models.

Why An M.B.A. Is A Mistake For Most Small Biz Owners

That degree will cost you $300,000 or more, counting lost earnings. Worth it, if you want to climb the corporate ladder. Not so much, if you’re looking to buy or build most small businesses.Twenty-five years ago, after leaving his job as a Senate staffer, Alan Pentz spent two years earning an M.B.A. from the McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas at Austin. He went on to build the Corner Alliance into a $35-million-in-revenue government consulting firm and recently stepped back from running it day-to-day to launch The Owner Institute, a coaching firm for other small business owners. Today, the 52-year-old Pentz offers this free advice to would-be entrepreneurs: Don’t waste time like I did, earning an M.B.A
