SMX draws growing global media coverage as Boston Herald spotlights its technology.

SMX draws growing global media coverage as Boston Herald spotlights its technology. Boston Herald joins Forbes, TIME, Rolling Stone, Benzinga and major U.S. publications examining SMX's advances in traceability, verification and recycling technology NEW YORK, October 1, 2026 (Newswire.com) - A feature in this week's Boston Herald is the latest in a growing series of media stories examining SMX and the role its technology is playing in the evolving recycling and materials industry. The Boston Herald coverage follows recent reports from Forbes, TIME, Rolling Stone, Benzinga, the Chicago Tribune, Miami Herald and other media and trade publications, reflecting increased attention surrounding SMX's technology and its applications across recycling, material verification, traceability and compliance. The coverage comes as rising oil costs, war, market volatility and other economic pressures are narrowing the traditional cost gap between virgin and recycled materials. At the same time, SMX has continued to advance technologies including its Digital Material Passport and other platforms designed to provide materials with verifiable identities throughout their lifecycle. SMX has described these changing market conditions as the "Age of Parity," a period in which recycled plastic is moving beyond an environmental objective and becoming part of the economic infrastructure needed to support modern manufacturing and commerce. Oil-price volatility, tariffs, plastic taxes, supply-chain disruptions, inflation and higher input costs are increasingly affecting industries that depend on plastic and other materials, from packaging and food protection to medicine, electronics, textiles, transportation and consumer products. Against that backdrop, the ability to identify, track and verify materials is becoming increasingly relevant to manufacturers, regulators and markets. Recent coverage of SMX and these broader industry changes includes: "As Massachusetts Moves Toward Broader Recycling Policies, Companies Must Solve the Verification Issues Necessary to Ensure Compliance" "Unlocking The Value In Recycled Waste: SMX's Envisioned Revolution" "As Illinois Builds Its Recycling Future, Chicago Shows Why Proof, Not Promises, May Define Compliance" "SMX: How Proof Is Replacing Promises in Sustainability" "Why the Future of Recycling Depends on Proof, Not Promises" "Rethinking Plastic: How Risk and Verification Are Reshaping Markets" "Plastic Promises Are Dead. Proof Is the New Flex" "As States Mandate Recycling, Proof - Not Promises - Will Define the Next Era of Compliance" Taken together, the coverage illustrates growing media, trade and market interest in SMX and its role across sustainability, recycling, textile traceability, precious-metals authentication, material verification and regulatory compliance. At the center of that attention is a common theme: the transition from sustainability claims that depend largely on promises to systems capable of providing physical, verifiable proof. ABOUT SMX (SECURITY MATTERS) PLC SMX (Security Matters) PLC (NASDAQ:SMX) develops molecular traceability and material authentication technologies designed to strengthen supply-chain transparency and integrity across global industries. Its platform embeds invisible molecular markers directly into physical materials, including solids, liquids and gases, allowing them to carry a persistent identity that can be detected and verified throughout their lifecycle.

Quantum Sky names three evps to lead market-facing business groups.

Quantum Sky names three evps to lead market-facing business groups. * Samantha Moore, Jessica Merriam and Nicole Gibson were appointed to EVP roles * Quantum Sky organized three business groups around its core federal markets * Arlington Capital Partners is backing Quantum Sky Quantum Sky has appointed three executive vice presidents to run business groups organized around its main federal markets. Samantha Moore will lead the Department of War group, Jessica Merriam will head the intelligence and space group, and Nicole Gibson will direct the federal civilian group, Quantum Sky said Thursday. The structure is part of a broader operating model meant to tie growth, technology and operations more closely to customer missions. Andrew Boyd, CEO of Quantum Sky, said the arrangement gives the company a sharper focus as it brings its capabilities to customers. Who are the new Quantum Sky business group leaders? Moore previously served as vice president for Department of War services at SMX. Prior to that, she spent nearly five years at Amazon Web Services, most recently as a strategic technical leader for global national security and defense, and nearly a decade as senior director for space and intelligence systems at Solers, which Peraton acquired in 2019. Following the acquisition, she held the same role at Peraton. Merriam joined Quantum Sky from SilverEdge Government Solutions, where she led the intelligence solutions group through the company's sale to SAIC in 2025. At SAIC, she ran a business supporting intelligence community customers, the Defense Intelligence Agency and U.S. Special Operations Command. She previously served as executive director of intelligence community programs at CACI, overseeing an indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract worth over $400 million. Merriam also spent more than 20 years as an intelligence officer, including assignments at Special Operations Command and a stint as deputy senior director at the National Security Council covering sub-Saharan Africa policy. Gibson came from Guidehouse, where she most recently led firmwide transformation work spanning talent acquisition, facilities, security and human capital operations, including recruiting structures across the U.S., Canada, Europe and India. She previously served as a partner for defense and security at the firm for more than seven years, leading the national security portfolio covering the intelligence community and the Office of the Secretary of War. Before Guidehouse, she spent nearly 11 years at PwC, rising from manager to principal and working on strategy, change management and process improvement for national security agencies and the geospatial intelligence enterprise. Gibson began her career at BearingPoint, where she spent more than seven years in consulting roles serving public sector clients. She brings more than 25 years of experience in enterprise transformation and business growth. What is Quantum Sky? The company rebranded from Tyto Athene in August, sharpening its focus on AI, cybersecurity, cloud and post-quantum technologies for federal customers. Quantum Sky is an Arlington Capital Partners portfolio company. It named Sean Thompson chief growth officer that same month to oversee enterprise growth strategy. The rebrand followed roughly two years of change, including Boyd's move to CEO; Cutter Brenton's appointment as chief AI officer; and acquisitions covering space software, managed cybersecurity, cloud compliance and intelligence community IT. Michael Lustbader, a managing partner at Arlington Capital Partners and a Wash100 Award winner, said Arlington and Quantum Sky are investing in quantum computing and other technologies to support the latter's expansion into key federal markets.

SMX and Vannevar partner to deliver mission-specific AI agents.

SMX and Vannevar partner to deliver mission-specific AI agents. PR Newswire Today at 1:15am PDT Agreement Marks Vannevar's First Official Strategic Partnership PALO ALTO, Calif., April 21, 2026 /PRNewswire/ - Vannevar and SMX have entered into a strategic partnership to bring mission-specific warfighting agents to the Combatant Commands (COCOMs) and select federal agencies. The partnership is designed to accelerate operational outcomes by combining Vannevar's data, AI, and mission analytics capabilities with SMX's enterprise-scale delivery, prime contract positions, and proven execution across all geographic Combatant Commands, select Service Components, and Federal Civilian Agencies. Together, Vannevar and SMX will oversee agent deployments with an AI-enabled services model, embedding mission and technical experts onsite to scale usage and mission outcomes. Vannevar began working with SMX in 2021 to support Special Operations Command Pacific open source intelligence activities, and in 2025 expanded our work to provide agentic capabilities for interagency operations. Building on that work, the partnership expands joint delivery through deeper data integrations, mission-relevant datasets, and reasoning agents built for targeted use cases such as Western Hemisphere defense, counter-narcotics operations, and information dominance. "Modern operations demand more than access to information. They demand the ability to turn disparate and complex data into timely insights that drive action at the speed of everything from competition to conflict," said Erin Biggers, Executive VP of Mission at Vannevar. "This partnership is about rapidly fielding warfighting agents that fit how teams actually work, and delivering decision advantage that is measurable, repeatable, and ready to scale." "SMX brings a strong track record of delivering mission-critical capabilities at scale across the global operational landscape," said Dana Dewey, President of Global Defense at SMX. "By combining our execution strength and mission footprint with Vannevar's agentic capabilities, we can accelerate the transition from prototype to sustained operational- embedding mission-specific AI directly into end-user workflows and drive real-world outcomes." What this partnership enables The partnership is structured to move rapidly from mission needs to fielded capability, with an emphasis on operational workflows and repeatable deployment models. Key themes include: * Integration of existing platforms to support data sharing and analysis, including hard-to-access datasets that can confirm or tip analysts and uncover new insights. * Agent infrastructure capable of model-agnostic agent orchestration, model performance monitoring, real-time model evaluation, and workflow development. * Mission-specific agent deployments that enable customized workflows, including deep tradecraft specialization in geospatial, COA planning, and Information Operations that can compress key tasks from days to minutes. * AI-enabled mission services, including embedded agent and mission experts who can tune and adapt deployments to customer needs, train teams, and accelerate time-to-outcome. Where we will focus first In the near term, the partnership will focus on joint go-to-market offerings aligned to both organizations' existing footprints, including priority missions and stakeholders across six Combatant Commands and a targeted set of Federal Civilian agencies where mission sets are aligned to deploying frontier AI against top national security challenges. Built for rapid fielding and flexible acquisition The partnership will pursue opportunities through a mix of rapid acquisition pathways and traditional mechanisms, with a deliberate emphasis on OTAs where they accelerate speed, flexibility, and transition to production. SMX and Vannevar are aligned on rapidly fielding capabilities based on validated user demand, then expanding usage from initial deployments to program-level adoption. Looking ahead SMX and Vannevar will operate with an accelerated cadence for partnership execution, including customer prioritization, developing new reasoning agents, and overseeing their deployment in operational settings.
