About the Job

Requirements

  • The candidate must have solid fundamentals in computer science and networking, with a deep understanding of data center network architectures such as Spine-Leaf Fabric, and proficiency in key protocols such as Ethernet Virtual Private Network over Virtual eXtensible LAN and Border Gateway Protocol/OSPF, along with in-depth knowledge of the Linux network stack.
  • Excellent software engineering skills with mastery of Golang or Python, strong coding and system design abilities, and familiarity with modern software development workflows including microservices, containerization using Docker and Kubernetes, and continuous integration and continuous deployment.
  • Practical experience in one or more of the following areas: Big Data Processing, including familiarity with Kafka, Flink, ClickHouse or Time-Series Databases, and experience building real-time data pipelines and analytics systems.
  • Observability technologies experience, including Prometheus/OpenTelemetry, graph databases such as Neo4j, and developing alert and event platforms.
  • A Passion for AIOps, machine learning, and large language model practices, with keen interest or hands-on experience in applying these to operations (e.g., Retrieval-Augmented Generation, tool use, safety evaluation).
  • Experience in operating or developing for hyperscale data center networks (100,000+ servers) is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with NetOps, SRE, and platform engineering teams to design and implement a closed-loop AIOps for the network platform.
  • Build a Panoramic Network Observability Platform by developing a streaming telemetry data pipeline for physical and virtual networks, integrating multi-source data from gNMI, Netconf, IPFIX/NetFlow, and SNMP to provide a real-time data foundation for AIOps.
  • Develop an Intelligent Diagnostics and Root Cause Analysis System using machine learning and deep learning to perform anomaly detection, correlation analysis, and noise reduction on network metrics, logs, and events, and to identify root causes across the stack.
  • Explore Intelligent Operations through applications of LLMs and agents, including an Intelligent Operations Assistant using Retrieval-Augmented Generation to answer natural language queries and provide troubleshooting guidance and network status reports.
  • Develop automated remediation and smart runbooks by training operational agents to safely invoke network change tools and APIs, and autonomously generate or execute remediation plans based on failure scenarios.
  • Establish capacity and risk prediction capabilities to forecast network capacity bottlenecks, high-risk links, and sub-healthy devices based on historical data and growth models for proactive maintenance.
  • Build a robust engineering system to ensure high availability and scalability of the AIOps platform, covering data collection, model training, online inference, and closed-loop actions.

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience in leading or contributing to LLM/Agent-based intelligent operations projects with measurable business impact.
  • Active contributions to open-source communities such as SONiC, P4/PINS, eBPF, Prometheus, or OpenTelemetry.
  • In-depth research or practical experience in high-performance networking (RDMA/RoCE), SmartNICs (Network Interface Card Offload), or DPDK/eBPF.
  • Experience building network configuration and control systems (e.g., based on SONiC, gNMI, Netconf).
