  • Experience leading or closely partnering with data engineering, including setting direction for warehouse architecture and pipeline priorities.
  • Experience shipping machine-learning-powered features and operating them in production.

  • Ability to balance strategic work with hands-on contribution, including going deep on a pipeline or model and delegating when appropriate.
Responsibilities
  • Partner with executives and the Product team to drive product strategy through data, translate company vision into data capabilities, and invest ahead of the product roadmap to keep the Data Platform modern.
  • Own the strategic data asset and machine-learning roadmap, taking early data-asset initiatives from key use cases to architecture decisions and determining where machine learning is useful across pricing, lead scoring, propensity, and screening risk.
  • Build the go-to-market data foundation by defining and owning unified customer profiles, segmentation, and journey tracking for Marketing, Sales, and Customer Success, and ensuring it reaches campaign tools, the customer relationship management system, and in-product surfaces.
  • Own how impact is measured by setting the company-wide experimentation lifecycle standard, from design and success-metric definition through causal readout, balancing speed with rigor and long-term hygiene.
  • Lead the Analytics team directly by managing Business Analysts and Data Scientists, reviewing their work and code quality, setting analytical rigor standards, prioritizing the request queue, and guiding project scoping and initiation.
  • Improve the semantic layer and AI-powered self-serve tooling, drive adoption across business verticals, go-to-market, and Finance, and treat adoption as the deliverable.
  • Lead Data Engineering through the Data Engineering Manager, who owns Bronze/Silver/Gold pipeline architecture, warehouse cost and governance, and platform reliability.
  • Scale the Data organization by setting governance and quality standards and building the team through hiring, coaching, and career development across data disciplines.
  • Drive data literacy and insight adoption across Product, Engineering, go-to-market, and Finance.
  • Represent Data to executives and the Board by translating forecasts, Board data requests, and OKR targets into an executable roadmap.
  • Own vendor and tooling strategy for the analytics stack, deciding when vendor relationships are useful.

  • Background in fintech, proptech, or real estate technology, or experience with property or marketplace data.
  • Experience establishing or governing an internal AI/LLM tooling layer; the role inherits Claude-based skills and an internal semantic-search bot already in production.
  • Experience managing globally distributed teams across the United States and Southeast Asia.

What believers are saying

  • RentSpree added ten MLS partners in August 2026, reaching 332,439 agents.
  • September 2026 Lula, August 2026 Obie, and TurboTax integrations widen monetization beyond screening.
  • Four million users and 300-plus partnerships create cross-sell leverage across the rental lifecycle.

What critics are saying

  • MLS partners can replace RentSpree with bundled competitors, crushing distribution by 2027.

  • Regulators can tighten FCRA, adverse-action, and data-sharing rules, increasing compliance costs immediately.

What makes RentSpree unique

  • RentSpree wins by embedding rental workflows inside MLS systems agents already use daily.
  • Its 2026 RentEdge rollout spans CRMLS, Heartland MLS, NTREIS, CVRMLS, and MLS Technology.
  • Unlike screening-only vendors, RentSpree now bundles applications, leasing, rent payments, insurance, and maintenance.

Lula and RentSpree partner to bring managed maintenance to self-managing landlords.

Lula and RentSpree partner to bring managed maintenance to self-managing landlords. Maintenance powered by Lula joins RentSpree's Rental assistant, giving rental owners vetted professionals, flat-rate pricing, and a spending limit they set. KANSAS CITY, KS, UNITED STATES, September 15, 2026 / EINPresswire.com / - Lula and RentSpree today announced a partnership that lets landlords hand off maintenance completely, from a resident's first report through the finished repair. Lula, the property maintenance platform, now powers maintenance inside the new Rental assistant from RentSpree, the rental software platform used by agents and landlords across the country. Rental owners get access to a network of vetted, licensed, and insured service professionals across 50+ US markets. Most RentSpree landlords manage their rental properties alongside a full-time career. When something breaks, they have to source vendors, compare quotes, and verify licenses. Through this partnership, that work is handled. Tenants submit maintenance requests through RentSpree, and Lula coordinates every job from request to resolution, with scheduling underway within minutes of a work order... Maintenance powered by Lula is included in RentSpree's Landlord Pro subscription and is available for properties in Lula-covered zip codes, with the broader Rental assistant available to subscribers everywhere. There is no separate access fee beyond the subscription, and individual repairs are billed per job. Much of the maintenance repair and replacement pricing comes from Lula's industry-first Flat-Rate Catalog and is set before work begins. Each landlord sets a not-to-exceed limit: repairs under the limit proceed immediately, and anything above it requires the owner's approval before work starts. "RentSpree has built a unique platform that helps individual owners and real estate professionals manage their properties more effectively," said Bo Lais, Co-founder and CEO of Lula. "By pairing that platform with Lula's nationwide, managed network of vetted service professionals and technology-enabled maintenance coordination, we can make maintenance easier and more reliable for owners. RentSpree customers will also have access to Lula's flat-rate catalog of more than 450 services, including highly competitive pricing on HVAC and water heater replacements. We're excited to bring a more transparent and predictable maintenance experience to RentSpree customers." "Our landlords tell us maintenance is the hardest part of owning a rental because it's the part you can't plan for," said Paul Sirisuphang, COO of RentSpree. "We built the Rental assistant to handle the day-to-day of running a rental so landlords are in the loop, but not on call. Our partnership with Lula means RentSpree's Rental assistant can now collect maintenance requests, dispatch a local pro, and log the job with nothing more than a thumbs up from the landlord." For real estate agents, the partnership extends the value of a RentSpree referral beyond lease signing. Landlord clients gain an answer for what happens after move-in, while agents remain the trusted source who set them up. About Lula About RentSpree RentSpree is where the modern rental comes together. Landlords run their rentals without it running their lives, agents turn a lease into repeat business, and renters get support from applications to move out. The everyday work of running a rental is coordinated in one place. Founded in 2016 and headquartered in Seattle, RentSpree partners with MLSs and real estate associations across the country. NTREIS moves to RentSpree for rental applications and tenant screening.

NTREIS moves to RentSpree for rental applications and tenant screening. RentSpree partners with NTREIS to bring integrated rental applications and tenant screening tools to subscribers across Texas and Louisiana. North Texas Real Estate Information Systems (NTREIS) has partnered with RentSpree to provide rental screening and application tools to real estate professionals across Texas and parts of Louisiana. The integration launched Aug. 25, giving NTREIS subscribers access to RentSpree's rental tools directly through the MLS. NTREIS transitioned to RentSpree from a previous rental technology provider. Through the integration, subscribers can manage rental applications and tenant screening within their existing MLS workflow, helping agents and brokers handle steps that can otherwise add time to the leasing process. Supporting a competitive rental market. The partnership comes as rental markets across Texas and Louisiana continue to see significant activity. More than 250,000 people have relocated to the two states, while recent job growth has contributed to continued housing demand. Median rent in Texas is about $1,783 per month, down approximately 5.8% year over year, according to figures provided by RentSpree. About 40% of rental listings are offering concessions. In Louisiana, the median rent across unit types is approximately $1,500 per month. In competitive rental markets, pricing can have a significant effect on how quickly a property leases. According to RentSpree, well-priced and well-presented properties typically lease within the first two weeks, while overpriced properties can remain available for more than a month. The RentSpree integration gives NTREIS subscribers another tool for managing the application and screening stages once prospective tenants are ready to move forward. RentSpree expands its MLS footprint. NTREIS serves real estate professionals throughout much of Texas and portions of Louisiana, giving the RentSpree partnership a two-state footprint. The coverage includes North Texas markets such as Dallas-Fort Worth and surrounding communities, as well as areas where real estate professionals may work across state lines. RentSpree also has a partnership with Central Texas MLS that dates to 2024. With the addition of NTREIS, the company says its rental technology is now available to roughly 100,000 real estate professionals across the region. The NTREIS agreement follows other RentSpree partnerships with MLS Technology, Willamette Valley MLS and BAREIS MLS as the company continues expanding distribution of its rental technology through MLS organizations. Training resources and RentSpree support are available to NTREIS subscribers as they begin using the newly integrated tools.

Obie and RentSpree team up on landlord cover.

Obie and RentSpree team up on landlord cover. August 25, 2026 Obie, a leading provider of insurance solutions for landlords and real estate investors, has joined forces with RentSpree, a leading rental software platform that helps real estate professionals and landlords simplify the leasing process, to embed landlord insurance directly into RentSpree's existing workflow. Through the collaboration, RentSpree customers can now tap into Obie's landlord insurance offering without leaving the platform they already use to manage their rentals. Landlords are able to obtain a direct quote and buy cover suited to their investment property in the same place they market vacancies, vet tenants and collect rent, removing the need to seek out insurance separately. By folding Obie's offering into that existing toolkit, the two companies say they are turning landlord insurance into a natural extension of the leasing process rather than a separate errand. The insurance itself is powered by Obie's proprietary technology, which is designed to give RentSpree users real-time quotes and let them bind a policy within minutes. Obie says the partnership fits its broader strategy of reaching real estate investors through the platforms they already use day to day, rather than requiring them to seek out cover independently. Founded in 2017, Obie has focused on simplifying investment property insurance for landlords and real estate investors across the United States. The company pairs its own technology with specialist underwriting to produce fast, accurate quotes, and it already works alongside a number of real estate technology providers, lenders, property management platforms and independent agents to widen access to landlord insurance. Obie Co-Founder Ryan Letzeiser said, "Real estate investors are increasingly looking for connected experiences that make managing their properties simpler. "RentSpree has built a platform that helps landlords manage key parts of the rental lifecycle, and this collaboration extends that experience by making it easy to secure specialized landlord insurance at the moment it's needed. Together, we're helping investors spend less time navigating administrative tasks and more time growing their portfolios." RentSpree CEO and co-founder Michael Lucarelli said, "Working with Obie represents exactly what we set out to build at RentSpree: a comprehensive platform that simplifies every aspect of the rental lifecycle for landlords and agents. "By bringing Obie's landlord insurance options directly into our platform, we're removing yet another friction point, and adding one more essential component to the landlord toolkit. It's a game-changer for investors looking to streamline their operations." Enjoying the stories? Investors. The following investor(s) were tagged in this article.
