About the job
- Active Registered Behavior Technician certification, a certificate of completion of a BACB-recognized and accepted 40-hour Registered Behavior Technician training course, or work experience as a Behavior Technician in applied behavior analysis.
- High school diploma or GED.
- At least one year of experience working with children or individuals with special needs.
- Ability to obtain CPR certification before the employment start date.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check.
- Experience working with children with autism or developmental disabilities.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Demonstrated commitment to ethical standards in behavior analysis.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a treatment team.
- Desire for ongoing professional development and training.
- Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic work environment.
- Physical ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds and to sit, stand, and squat throughout the day.
- Comfort working fully on-site in a center-based setting.
- Implement treatment plans under the direction of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst.
- Collect data on client behaviors and progress.
- Engage clients in therapeutic activities to promote learning and development.
- Communicate with families about their child's progress and strategies.
- Assist in developing educational materials and resources.
- Participate in team meetings and training sessions.
- Adhere to ethical guidelines and standards of behavior analysis.
