Requirements
  • A minimum of three years of operational experience at the level of Electrical Apprentice or Electrician, with emphasis on construction in the electrical industry.
  • Currently enrolled in the second or third year of an electrical apprenticeship program and committed to completing the program.
  • Familiarity with electrical codes, safety standards, and construction documentation.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint, and the QuickBase QA/QC App.
  • Proficiency in writing internal and external correspondence.
  • Ability to focus, organize, and prioritize essential functions to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to maintain effective teamwork and communicate professionally.
  • Ability to adapt to changing demands and priorities.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and move around construction sites for extended periods; climb ladders and scaffolding; work at heights; and bend, stoop, kneel, and crouch in confined or difficult-to-access spaces.
  • Ability to tolerate varying weather conditions and outdoor environments and use required personal protective equipment, including hard hats, safety glasses, gloves, and steel-toed boots.
Responsibilities
  • Participate in the second project handoff to understand project requirements.
  • Support quality assurance and quality control functions on assigned projects as directed.
  • Attend project team meetings concerning schedules and job-site inspections.
  • Coordinate with the general contractor’s project QA/QC team and attend scheduled meetings as needed.
  • Assist with training and support for project teams using the QuickBase QA/QC App and promote installation best practices.
  • Perform and document underground, temporary-power, and equipment inspections using the QuickBase QA/QC App.
  • Inspect received equipment and generate nonconformance reports for damaged items.
  • Inspect switchboards, panelboards, and other project equipment.
  • Witness and verify torque and megohm reports performed by the project team as designed by the QuickBase QA/QC App.
  • Inspect in-wall and overhead installations, create punch lists, and verify and sign off on completed punch-list items.
  • Assist with verifying and completing closeout documents using the QuickBase QA/QC App.
  • Travel to job sites, including out-of-town locations, as required.
  • Support office administrative functions as directed.
  • Identify potential issues and recommend continuous-improvement measures.
  • Stay current on National Electrical Code updates to ensure installation compliance.
  • Perform other duties assigned by the Department Manager or QA/QC Tech Supervisor.
