Requirements
  • 10+ years of experience in product management
  • 3+ years leading small teams a plus
  • Experience as a Product Manager building platform services/products focused on large scale search processing, query language, high availability, performance and scalability as well as data platform, storage and clustering technologies
  • Familiarity with cloud data services, batch/stream data processing and metadata management
  • Strong conceptual and critical thinking to drive product strategy and integration across a complex portfolio
  • Strong sense of customer empathy to care deeply about customer problems and user experience
  • Strong analytical abilities and data driven product decision-making approach
  • Collaborative teammate, with strong communication skills, including the ability to translate complex technical products and features into simple concepts and presentations
  • Experience with building large scale data platform, query language and optimizations
  • Deep understanding of data platform market, trends, competition and industry
  • Strong bias for action, creative thinking, innovation and data driven product decision-making
  • Exposure to cloud infrastructure and agile software development
  • Passion for solving exciting technical problems and building enterprise products with intuitive user experience
  • Security, Observability and/or Networking knowledge is a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (e.g. EE, CS); MBA or equivalent experience highly preferred
Responsibilities
  • Engage with customers and internal product line partners, develop insights into top opportunities to add differentiated value for customers by integrating Splunk and Cisco products
  • Work with other Splunk Platform PM leaders to build compelling and high impact data platform capabilities, based on deep understanding of customer needs & market trends, translating them into clear priorities and product roadmap
  • Work with Program management to supervise high impact cross cutting integration related initiatives that cut across multiple Splunk and Cisco product areas
  • Communicate overall strategy and combined integration roadmap to internal and external partners
  • Build positive relationships with business partners (Business Franchises, Business Operations, Business functions etc.) and development partners (UX design, engineering, data etc.)
  • Have track record of taking SaaS or IaaS products from concept to launch. Are familiar with the customer journey and commercial model of industry leading SaaS and IaaS products, and have the ability to incorporate industry standard processes into your product
