Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited Pennsylvania nursing school for Licensed Practical Nursing.
  • Hold a current Pennsylvania license.
  • Maintain current Basic Life Support certification.
  • Be able to meet the stated physical and sensory requirements, including lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, patient transport, and required visual and motor abilities.
Responsibilities
  • Participate in interdisciplinary team and rehabilitation meetings.
  • Administer treatments and medications according to physician orders accurately and in a timely manner, and record the treatments and medications.
  • Document resident or patient care provided and the response or lack of response to interventions and treatment.
  • Report changes in resident or patient condition to the Registered Nurse and assist with resident or patient admission, transfer, and discharge.
  • Provide direct patient care and skilled tasks under the direction of a physician, advanced practitioner, or Registered Nurse.
  • Facilitate communication among members of the healthcare team, patients, and families.
  • Comply with network and departmental attendance and dress-code policies.
