Hire a project accountantthat never sleeps.

Hire a project accountantthat never sleeps. Announcements Adaptive named to the inaugural BuiltWorlds AI Top 50. Mel Martell · September 29, 2026 Adaptive has been named to the inaugural BuiltWorlds AI Top 50, a list recognizing companies shaping how artificial intelligence is used across the built environment. BuiltWorlds placed Adaptive in the AI-Native AEC Solution category. What is the BuiltWorlds AI Top 50? BuiltWorlds published its first AI Top 50 list on September 28, 2026. It recognizes companies making a significant impact on how AI is applied across architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC). According to BuiltWorlds, the list draws on its 2026 Annual Benchmarking Survey and nominations from AEC stakeholders. Its Top Lists calendar also describes a dedicated solution application and user nomination form. Feedback from people in the industry was one input, but BuiltWorlds does not assign it a percentage of the selections. The list has four categories: General-Purpose AI, AEC Software with AI, AI-Native AEC Solution, and Physical AI. They distinguish broad-use tools, established AEC platforms adding AI, products built around AI for AEC workflows, and robotics or autonomous systems. Adaptive is listed as an AI-Native AEC Solution. Why construction finance matters in the AI conversation. The full list spans estimating, design, jobsite progress, procurement, and finance. In construction accounting, the value of AI depends on how quickly field changes inform financial decisions. If a crew hits rock on Tuesday, finance needs to know how that changes the cost to complete before the monthly review, while the project team still has time to adjust. Connecting field updates to forecasts and work in progress (WIP) makes that possible. What Adaptive does. Adaptive is an AI-native project accounting platform for construction. Its Construction Finance Agents collect updates from superintendents and project managers by text, email, and voice, then connect that information with financial workflows. A short field update can inform cost to complete and WIP, while the team retains the story behind the numbers. The agents support job costing, accounts payable, billing, change orders, lien waivers, insurance compliance, cards, and reconciliation. Adaptive works alongside existing accounting and project management systems. Agents do not post to the general ledger on their own. A person reviews actions before they touch the books, as Adaptive explained in its AI project accountant announcement. BuiltWorlds describes Adaptive this way: Adaptive is an AI-native project accounting platform for construction that connects financial data with field updates to support job costing, accounts payable, billing, WIP reporting, forecasting, change orders, and compliance. Its AI agents perform project-accounting tasks while operating alongside a contractor's existing accounting and project management systems. In its September 2026 company update, Adaptive reported that more than 750 construction companies use Adaptive, from $5 million to $1 billion in annual revenue, and that Adaptive partner with over 40 accounting firms. What's next. BuiltWorlds plans to bring the list together at its 2027 AI/ML Conference in Austin on February 17 and 18, 2027. Adaptive plan to be there. Thank you to the BuiltWorlds team, and to the contractors and accounting partners whose feedback helped shape this list.

Adaptive named to Construction Executive's 2026 Top Construction Technology Products(TM) list.

Adaptive named to Construction Executive's 2026 Top Construction Technology Products(TM) list. Mel Martell · July 6, 2026 Adaptive is proud to share that Construction Executive has named Adaptive to its 2026 Top Construction Technology Products(TM) list in the Accounting and Job Costing category. In construction, the gap between what is happening on the job and what shows up in the books can cost real money. Teams need real-time visibility to remain competitive, but the systems finance teams rely on have not kept up. That is the problem Adaptive was built to solve. This recognition comes on the heels of its launch of Project Accounting Agents, a new category of AI built to run the day-to-day accounting work that keeps construction projects on track. The agents act as named members of the accounting team, calling the field, coding invoices, drafting change orders, chasing lien waivers, and more, giving CFOs and controllers real-time visibility into every job. Adaptive will keep building on behalf of construction finance teams who are ready to stop explaining what happened and start driving what comes next. Agentic project accounting platform recognized for bringing real-time visibility and AI automation to construction finance NEW YORK (July 7, 2026) - Adaptive, the agentic project accountant for construction, has been named to Construction Executive's 2026 Top Construction Technology Products(TM) list in the Accounting and Job Costing category. The recognition highlights Adaptive's work to close the gap between the jobsite and the back office in real time. Construction finance teams are usually the last to know what is happening on a job. Field data moves through phone calls, daily logs, and spreadsheets before it ever reaches the books. By the time it is collected, entered, and reconciled, the window to act has already closed. Adaptive's Project Accounting Agents change that. Each agent works as a named member of the finance team, handling a specific function around the clock: a WIP and Forecasting Analyst keeping margin pictures current, an AP Clerk coding invoices without manual entry, a Field Coordination Clerk turning field conversations into structured data, and more. Finance leaders see issues as they happen and can act before they hit the P&L. "One of the biggest challenges for construction accounting teams is knowing what's actually happening on the job today that will impact the books tomorrow," said Matt Calvano, co-founder and CEO of Adaptive. "We built Project Accounting Agents to solve that problem, and being named to Construction Executive's Top Construction Technology Products list is a meaningful validation of what we're hearing from CFOs and controllers across the industry." Now in its 24th year of publication, Construction Executive is the leading trade magazine about the business of construction. The Top Construction Technology Products(TM) list was developed by asking more than 1,000 firms that provide technology and software solutions for the construction industry to complete a nomination form. The information collected included: 1) the firm's product offerings specific to the AEC industry; 2) the user profile (type and size of firm for which each product is recommended); 3) how each product is sold (by seat, user, license and/or project, etc.); and 4) the number of active users within the past 12 months (by individual users and/or companies). There was no fee to participate and not every firm that completed the nomination form made this curated list. View the complete list here. About Adaptive. Adaptive is the agentic project accountant for construction. Project Accounting Agents and the underlying platform give CFOs, controllers, and project accountants real-time visibility into every job, automating the work that has historically required teams of clerks and analysts chasing paper, phone calls, and spreadsheets. Adaptive is on a mission to bring financial clarity to the construction industry and become the standard system of record for project accounting. For more information, visit www.adaptive.build.
