Members 1st Insurance Services is an independent insurance agency affiliated with Members 1st Federal Credit Union that helps its 600,000+ Central Pennsylvania members obtain personal and commercial coverage by connecting them with policies from a network of more than 140 carriers. It acts as a broker, not an underwriter, offering auto, home, life, and pet insurance and lending protections such as GAP and MVP, plus commercial insurance for businesses. Revenue comes from commissions paid by carriers for policies sold, and the agency emphasizes advocating for members to find the best value and appropriate coverage rather than favoring any single insurer. Its goal is to protect members’ financial well-being by delivering tailored coverage options and potential discounts through the credit union’s large member base.
