About the company

Christian Brothers Automotive

View

Christian Brothers Automotive franchises full-service repair shops that serve drivers needing scheduled maintenance, vehicle diagnostics and complex repairs. Technicians work on most makes and models, assess vehicle needs, review recommendations and estimates with customers, and complete only approved work; qualifying repairs carry a three-year, 36,000-mile warranty. For first-time shop openings, independent franchise owners have the opportunity to repay their business loan before the franchisor receives profits; the corporate home office also supplies business resources. Christian Brothers Automotive began as an auto repair shop in 1982 and is headquartered in Houston, Texas.

What believers are saying

  • Students gain routes into repair careers: seven Douglas County CBA shops committed scholarships and paid internships in October 2026.
  • Technicians get a training investment: CBA broke ground on a planned $12 million Katy center in May 2026.
  • Weekends are predictable: CBA says established shops close on Saturdays and Sundays.

What critics are saying

  • Franchisees set the terms: one CBA posting assigns hiring, pay, scheduling, discipline and supervision to the local shop owner.
  • Weekdays run long: CBA's September 2026 Surprise advisor posting lists 7am-6pm and a brisk pace in a high-volume shop.
  • Faith shapes the workplace: CBA explicitly grounds its mission in Christian principles.

  • Shop employees have an ownership path: CBA's Future Franchisee Leadership Academy prepares them for franchise ownership.
  • Vehicle findings are visible: CBA uses digital inspections at every service.
  • Technicians get specialist backup: CBA's Technician Support Specialists help shop teams resolve difficult repair problems.
