Requirements
  • A Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from a Commission on Osteopathic College Accreditation-accredited college of osteopathic medicine or a Doctor of Medicine degree from a Liaison Committee on Medical Education-accredited college of medicine.
  • Completion of an Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education-approved residency or equivalent board certification in Neuromusculoskeletal Manual Medicine, Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine, Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Rheumatology, Orthopedic Surgery, or another field meeting the needs of the College of Osteopathic Medicine as determined by the department chairperson.
Responsibilities
  • Help develop osteopathic diagnosis and treatment skills in preclinical and clinical students.
  • Assist students during hands-on laboratory sessions.
  • Prepare materials for assigned lectures and laboratories.
  • Provide patient care in the NYITCOM Medical Clinic.
  • Mentor medical students throughout their medical school training.
  • Serve on or chair committees to fulfill institutional and departmental needs.
  • Conduct scholarly research and guide students in scholarly activities.
  • Assist with osteopathic manipulative medicine tutoring, review sessions, and early intervention sessions.
  • Perform other duties assigned for the department or college as needed.
Desired Qualifications
  • A current, unrestricted Arkansas state medical license.
