Requirements
  • 6-8 years of marketing or digital marketing experience.
  • 5-6 years of supervisory or project leadership experience.
  • Experience managing integrated, multi-channel marketing campaigns.
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or a related field.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills, including knowledge of English grammar and technical, scientific, and medical writing styles and use of proofreaders’ marks.
  • Experience leading organizational branding initiatives.
  • Strong project portfolio management skills.
  • Experience using data to drive strategic decisions.
  • Working knowledge of HTML for email marketing.
  • Experience with email marketing platforms, content management systems, marketing analytics tools, and membership databases, or similar platforms.
  • Experience with basic graphic design, photography, and video editing.
Responsibilities
  • Manage and execute integrated, multi-channel marketing initiatives supporting ASPEN’s mission, programs, products, and services.
  • Manage ASPEN’s digital marketing operations, including email marketing, website, social media, paid digital advertising, and analytics.
  • Supervise the Digital Marketing Coordinator.
  • Serve as a strategic advisor to the Director, Marketing and Communications by providing data-driven recommendations, identifying emerging marketing trends, and contributing to long-term departmental planning.
  • Translate marketing priorities into effective campaigns and ensure consistent branding and messaging across channels.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external vendors and use performance data to improve results.
  • Create, build, test, and deploy email campaigns, including segmentation and list management.
  • Provide staff guidance and technical support on email formatting and deployment, manage the email calendar, and monitor deliverability and campaign performance.
  • Track email metrics, including open rate, click-through rate, conversions, and engagement, and use testing and analytics to improve results.
  • Manage third-party list rentals, including approvals, scheduling, HTML setup, deployment, and reporting.
  • Serve as the website subject matter expert and primary contact for website and search vendors.
  • Support staff with website content development, site structure, and best practices.
  • Ensure website content accuracy, usability, and alignment with organizational priorities while overseeing site structure, navigation, performance, and updates.
  • Maintain a schedule of required website updates and coordinate timely updates with staff.
  • Review website analytics and apply insights to improve user experience while working with vendors to improve design and functionality.
  • Manage ASPEN’s social media strategy, including content planning and messaging.
  • Oversee content development and scheduling through Hootsuite.
  • Manage paid Facebook and LinkedIn advertising campaigns, including targeting, execution, and performance tracking.
  • Lead cross-functional marketing initiatives by collaborating with organizational leaders to identify priorities, establish campaign strategies, and ensure alignment across departments.
  • Work with staff and freelancers to develop messaging, creative concepts, and campaign materials aligned with organizational priorities and branding.
  • Manage campaign strategies, including timelines, deliverables, and budgets, to ensure coordinated, on-time execution.
  • Recruit, manage, and engage Malnutrition Awareness Week ambassadors, including communications, schedules, and participation materials.
  • Create and update Spread the Word materials and ensure ambassadors have timely access to them.
  • Manage creation and distribution of the free webinar registration code for ambassadors.
  • Support all phases of the annual conference, including session proposals, grant applications, abstract submissions, awards and travel grant applications, registration, Know Before You Go emails, and daily and post-conference communications.
  • Develop promotional conference materials, including award recipient videos, general session scripts and slides, day-by-day marketing slides, and other materials.
  • Manage the conference mobile app, including vendor coordination, content collection, and on-site updates.
  • Coordinate award winner photographs on-site.
  • Execute live social media posts during the conference.
  • Manage ASPEN’s Google Analytics account and ensure tracking and reporting function properly.
  • Oversee monthly and quarterly analytics reports with the Digital Marketing Coordinator.
  • Maintain ongoing ads on the Google Ad Grants account.
  • Create and manage paid Google Ad campaigns as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Desired Qualifications
  • Association experience is highly desirable.
  • Experience with Informz/Higher Logic, WordPress, Google Analytics, Awario, and Impexium, or similar platforms.
