Requirements
  • At least 1 year of experience as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist is preferred.
  • A Doctor of Nursing Practice or Doctor of Nurse Anesthesia Practice is preferred.
  • Certification of Nurse Anesthetists is required.
  • A Master of Science in Nursing is required.
  • A current New York State registered nurse license, or willingness to obtain one, is required.
  • Basic Cardiopulmonary Life Support certification is required.
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support certification is required.
Responsibilities
  • Provide patient-centered anesthesia for surgical procedures, cardiac catheterization labs, and obstetrics.
  • Administer general, regional, and monitored anesthesia care for scheduled and emergency surgical, obstetric, and diagnostic procedures.
  • Coordinate all aspects of clinical care to ensure delivery of high-quality, patient-centered services.
  • Manage staffing needs and provide staff development opportunities.
  • Plan activities, recognition, and training sessions to increase engagement and cohesion among the CRNA team.
