- Attend in-service and education programs and obtain continuing education required for certification.
- Remain calm under stressful conditions.
- Maintain a professional appearance by adhering to the community dress code.
- Operate equipment safely and use only equipment for which prior training has been received.
- Use safety precautions and practices during all activities.
- Follow OSHA and fire safety guidelines and regulations.
- Monitor and remain familiar with emergency and safety equipment, including security cameras, phones, and life safety systems.
- Secure all areas of the building by checking for open doors and unusual activity.
- Conduct regularly scheduled rounds in and around the building.
- Respond to emergencies according to Navion Senior Solutions policies.
- Inform a supervisor of resident issues or concerns.
- Attend all required training, in-service sessions, and staff meetings.
- Help maintain a safe working environment by preventing accidents, preserving equipment, and following safe working practices.
- Training in First Aid/BLS and self-defense is a plus.
