- Provide nursing services to residents under the direction of a Registered Nurse.
- Monitor the facility to ascertain residents’ activities and the general status of the facility.
- Initiate appropriate action to ensure the safety and well-being of residents and the facility, and document significant activity in the clinical log.
- Check residents identified as needing monitoring because of physical or emotional difficulties, initiate action based on assessment, and document findings in the clinical log.
- Offer crisis-intervention counseling to residents as needed, document sessions in the staff log, and report to the supervisor.
- Complete resident incident, accident, medical emergency, and other required forms.
- Answer phones and provide support to people needing assistance.
- Meet regularly with the Registered Nurse and Health Coordinator for supervision according to policy.
- Assess and monitor residents for signs and symptoms of withdrawal using appropriate withdrawal scales.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
