Requirements
  • Hold a valid Veterinary Technician License (RVT, LVT).
  • Have a minimum of 1+ years of experience in a clinic.
  • Have general knowledge of general-practice practices, including vaccine schedules, common medication uses, preventative medicine, and nutrition.
  • Have experience in anesthesia, including using a multiparameter and selecting medications to create a safe and prepared environment.
  • Have general knowledge of dentistry, including scaling and polishing, and knowledge of X-ray positioning and troubleshooting.
  • Have a developing foundation of technical skills, including handling cats and performing blood draws.
  • Be able to communicate with empathy and act with integrity.
  • Be willing to grow and adapt, embrace change, and work collaboratively to build optimal solutions.
  • Have schedule flexibility, including availability to work evenings and weekends.
Responsibilities
  • Use the full potential of the Registered Veterinary Technician role by applying technical skills, knowledge, creativity, and passion to help drive innovation and shape the future of Juno.
  • Rotate regularly between wellness, sick, urgent-care, and Registered Veterinary Technician appointments, as well as anesthesia and dental days.
  • Use the veterinary technician license to its fullest as Juno continually grows the services its Registered Veterinary Technicians can provide and perform.
  • Uphold the Juno Standard of Care by maintaining high-quality patient care and high standards across all aspects of the work.
  • Pursue continuous growth by learning from colleagues, staying current through continuing education, and exploring new veterinary research and insights.
